  • "Quaterdeck is a beautiful house in a fantastic location, with amazing views."

It is handy for the quayside and shops/restaurants, of which there is no shortage. We found that there were ample walking routes nearby and plenty to do. The house itself is very well equipped with everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay. Parking wasn't just an added bonus, it was essential - it is rare to find somewhere with parking in such a central location, especially for two cars.

Downstairs shower was great for coming back off the beach and the underfloor heating in the sun trap was effective for drying towels / washing. Very helpful friendly host too.

  • "Absolutely loved this cottage located above the harbour."

Great views from both the front bedroom and living room..Very comfortable safe spotless well laid out property that has been renovated to a very good standard with all mod cons.Exactly like the photos shown.Ideal base for exploring around the area and i know some have said about the hill down to the harbour restaurants and shops there are several way's down/up either using steps or slopes depending on whether you turn right , left or straight ahead when leaving the front of the property. Having the space for parking at the back is a great bonus believe me.The lovely owners are on hand if needed .We would not hesitate on using this cottage again if we returned to Falmouth.

  • "We loved the layout of the house which allowed our party of two couples to cook, chill and eat together using the open plan living space."

The beds were very comfortable and the refurbishment done to a good standard. The location was fabulous - views of the harbour and yet we were on the High Street in 4 mins and a fabulous beach and Coastal Path in 12 minutes. It took a little longer back up the hill but we loved the exercise!

  • "This house was really perfect for us - so clean and well appointed, and very comfortable."

It would be great to come in the summer and make full use of the lovely conservatory extension and courtyard. It was stormy and wet when we stayed, so having the wood burner and coming back to a toasty warm house (with a washing machine and dryer) was very welcome. A great location for being able to walk into Falmouth without taking the car everywhere (if you don't mind the hill!). The owners are very kind and responsive.

  • "A really lovely property, we chose it for its close location to family living a road away however it is in a generally excellent location for Falmouth; town is a short walk away and there are nearby pubs and shops for convenience."

Parking is a real bonus, finding properties with designated or off-road parking in Falmouth can be extremely difficult and parking on road during peak holiday times can be equally as hard so to have a driveway is big bonus. The property itself is finished to a high standard and kept very clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the dining area is a nice size for entertaining, a lovely shower room downstairs too with underfloor heating. Living room has nice views out to the Fal, with a nice wood burning fire with logs supplied, made for nice cosy evenings in the winter! We only used one bedroom but this was a great size, comfortable and again nice views out to the river. Overall it is a fantastic property that we have booked again and will undoubtable continue to book when possible, we have stayed in a lot of holiday rentals in and around Falmouth over the years and this one is definitely one of the nicest. The owners kept in great communication in terms of letting us know when the house was ready etc and even went above and beyond to help return an item we left behind! Highly recommended! We are here again for Christmas and looking forward to it!

  • "There was a little bit of confusion in making contact to collect the key."

Your emails gave us some phone numbers for us to contact 3 days prior to check in however when we rang we couldn't get an answer. The actual instructions on getting the key were emailed to us however we did not expect this as your instructions were to ring the numbers provided so we didn't check emails. It all got sorted eventually however it was a bit messy.

The location was very good, close enough to walk into town and harbour within minutes, however the walk back was pretty steep and some people may struggle. We found the house quiet despite being in a central area. The weather wasn’t great whilst we were there but we found plenty to do without driving too far.

  • "Well, we both love Cornwall, so being centrally placed in Falmouth was perfect."

The house was ideally positioned in the town within walking distance of all local facilities so great for exploring the town. The property was brilliant with great facilities. But, very importantly came with its own off road parking for two average sized cars which removed the problem of town centre parking. And the great view of the harbour was a joy to wake up to everyday, no matter what the weather. We would certainly recommend the property to anyone considering a stay in Falmouth, and will probably be returning again.

It was central to Falmouth with amazing views. We were able to leave the car at the cottage and walk all around the town, the quayside and to the beaches. The hill back was steep but helped to walk off the tasty treats! We would highly recommend the cottage and would happily stay here again. Best possible viewpoint for the regatta fireworks too - an added and unexpected bonus.

It is spacious, very clean , warm and comfortable. It’s in an idea position for walking into town one way or beaches the other way. Being high up you do need to walk up hill to get back but there are plenty of seats to sit on and admire the view.

  • "The absence of an iron & ironing board was surprising considering there was a washing machine, all other self catering properties we have stayed in, with various companies, have supplied these."

  • "The moment we walked through the door of Quarterdeck we felt at home."

Tastefully decorated, with modern furniture in keeping with the style of the property. With lovely little touches left for us by the owner, a plate full of scones, jam and clotted cream and vases of daffodils, the house was immaculately clean and tidy and the kitchen was very well stocked with lovely crockery and equipment. The listing gave the impression that the property was further away from the main centre that it actually was and in truth it was slap bang in the centre of the town with short walks in all directions to the lively centre and views from the house were amazing. I would thoroughly recommend Quarterdeck for a family holiday. We were four adults and a 22 month old. The only downside (probably down to personal taste) was that the beds were a little hard and there was no high chair. Luckily I had contacted Sykes to enquire if there was one and we took our own. I think we were only the second group of people to use this property, everything was brand new. I will definitely book with Sykes again.
