  • "We had a very enjoyable stay."

The house is lovely & well-designed to take full advantage of the "wow-factor" views. Location is brilliant & there are lots of home-comforts. A problem with the washing machine was quickly & efficiently sorted out by the local agent with no hassle for us. Well worth 5 stars - we hope to come back!

  • "The views from this property are outstanding overlooking Falmouth Harbour, it is quite a sight watching the huge ships coming into to dock."

The property is situated right in the middle of town so everything is accessible. If you have any difficulty with navigating steps and slopes then this is not a place for you. We will be returning at some point. The property, the amenities and the surroundings are that good .

  • "The whole week we spent at the property was fantastic."

The central location was great and was a 5 minute walk to a relative of ours who is studying at Falmouth Uni. The property was furnished to a very high standard and the views to the harbour and dockyard were wonderful even in October. There was plenty to do nearby with lots of shops , bars and restaurants. The only thing to be aware of is the property is high up, so steep inclines are everywhere which for the less mobile could be a problem. We would love to visit Falmouth again and would highly recommend Through the Porthole

  • "My partner and I have just returned from our weeks stay at Through the Porthole."

It was a superb holiday home and the views from the rear windows and outside area were lovely. Will certainly miss waking up to them. The house has everything you need and has been furnished very well. 5 min walk to the shops and to the front where you have a choice of pubs/cafes etc. We used the house as a base and we visited many areas but it was always nice to return. We will stay again.

  • "A couple of small additions would have been really helpful- 1."

Mirrors in all the bedrooms. 2. Fans to help keep us cooler as it was v hot at night in bedrooms and unfortunately it was noisy outside during the night on occasion when opening the windows :( 3. A firmer mattress in main bedroom as it was way too squidgy! 4. Better quality pillows. Apart from these, the house was delightful.

Thank you for your comments which we have taken on board, adding mirrors in the bedrooms and replacing the mattresses and pillows. We would look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

So much to do and visit from this location, without barely getting in the car. The view from the bedrooms and outdoor patio area were incredible.
