  • "Already thanked owner - lovely personal touches on arrival."

Always really helpful and quick to respond to any queries

  • "The cottage was light and airy and very peaceful."

The weather was not warm enough for us to make use of the garden for eating out which was a shame, but the cottage was cosy. It should really have a dishwasher for the price we paid, but all the other facilities were excellent.

  • "We love Nanvivian because it is unpretentious but welcoming."

It feels like coming home. My husband would like WiFi but I’m happy to be without it for a change! Lying in bed and listening to the waves and the birds is just perfect.

  • "A quaint cottage with stunning views however we hadn't realised how low the ceilings/door frames were and even with the numerous 'mind your head' signs my husband at 6' 3" repeatedly was banging his head."

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback which we have discussed with the property owner who confirms that all ceilings and doorways are of standard size apart from 1 low level ceiling on the stair case which does have a sign to make guests aware. Despite this we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit and those tremendous views. Property Owner

  • "Electric cooker needs replacing, also kitchen knives old and blunt"

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We understand the Owners visited during your holiday to demonstrate that the electric cooker is working. The kitchen at Navivian also has a Rayburn for slow cooking and a combination oven with microwave and grill. The knives have been checked and are all in good order: there is a knife sharpener in the drawer too. Property Owner

The chocolate cake on arrival was a lovely touch, as was the cut flowers in the rooms. We will definitely be back!

  • "We absolutely loved the warm, cosy, friendly house which was absolutely perfect for our needs."

And 30 seconds walk to the quiet beach, for our evening "sundowner"! The host, Jo, couldn't have been more friendly, kind and helpful, and her chocolate cake is quite wonderful!!

  • "This was our fourth visit to Nanvivian."

The cottage is cosy and welcoming but its real asset is the beach at the end of the drive and the fabulous views from the house and garden. We look forward to seeing that view when we arrive for weeks beforehand!

  • "Nanvivian is a lovely property is a fantastic location."

Jo had made the cottage very homely and welcoming - flowers, some food essentials and a chocolate cake! We’ve already recommended the property to friends. Loe Beach itself is a great spot, and the cafe and water sport hire there were fab.

  • "The location of this property is fantastic."

..right by the sea with a lovely view form the bedroom window. However it could definitely do with some love and TLC. For the price one would expect better facilities - cookware, TVs, wifi, tumble dryer, and the like.

  • "We absolutely loved our week in this traditional cottage, equipped with everything we needed, very comfortable and we very much liked the separate dining, living and sun rooms which gave our family group ample room."

The garden is fabulous with the most amazing view over the water with the boats, so mesmerising (the view also from both double bedrooms), and the literally 2 minute walk down to the pebble beach was just perfect. We were lucky with the weather and swam off the beach every day, and often came back for an evening stroll before the Grandchildren got ready for bed, such an unusual feature, which we totally loved. Our daughter and son-in-law and both grandchildren went out kayaking from the same beach and had great fun, and the beach cafe was also really nice, (we had a roll with mackerel, rocket salad with horseradish and chips one lunchtime). It's difficult to find anything negative to say about Nanvivian cottage, so I won't! Safe to say we're more than likely to arrange another week in this gem of a find, and I'm almost reluctant to share this review for fear of not getting a chance to re-book! Jo, who runs the place was charming and helpful in every way, and made sure all was in tip top shape, even down to beautiful fresh flowers from the garden in all the rooms, and a scrummy chocolate cake waiting in the kitchen!
