  • "We had a lovely stay at Culdrose Manor."

The pictures don't do it justice. Although the weather was awful we spent our time playing darts and relaxing. David was a great help too!

  • "We had an amazing holiday."

We had no issues whatsoever. David was brilliant and made sure everything was perfect. It was a shame we didn’t get to meet him, as we left early to avoid Saturday traffic. (We are south wales) On arrival, everything we needed was already there, which was a lovely touch; Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, tea towels. And the best bit….scones, jam, cream and Prosecco! The house really was lovely, it was immaculate. The beds were very comfortable and with crisp, white linen. It was airy and spacious and served us with everything we needed as a group of 5 adults with additional needs and 3 staff. It honestly didn’t feel like a working holiday. Location was perfect. We did everything we aimed to do and the guys loved the free tickets to Flambards theme park next door! Another lovely gesture, thankyou David. Overall, I would highly recommend this beautiful manor. It really was perfect. And David, he is a credit to the place. Thankyou xx

Everything was clean and comfortable. David who looks after the place is amazing. He contacted us a week before and was easy to get ahold of in case we needed to ask anything. The kids enjoyed the complimentary trip to flambards and the surprise welcome gift on table was thoroughly enjoyed by the family.

  • "Wonderful property, comfortable beds, high quality bedding and fabulously equipped, nothing was too much trouble for David, even providing a food mixer so Nana could make cakes with the Grandchildren."

Plenty of space, Flambards is amazing, especially the museum, passes were well used thank you . Garden area is large and safe. We had a wonderful time. Weather was perfect, pity about the Cornwall wide hosepipe ban, we would have liked to fill our small paddling pool for the children, but it wasn’t to be, plenty of other things to do. We would highly recommend this property for its comfort and location. Thank you

  • "A really, really beautiful house …."

. It had everything we needed for a lovely stay. A huge amount of space, the cleanest house I’ve ever stayed in. Quality beds and bedding/ towels which made for a very comfortable stay. Well equipped and I can’t think of anything that we would have needed, that they didn’t have. We used the Flambards passes on two days and the kids loved it. We visited as a large family of nine , two generations and there was so much space. David was on hand for any questions and he dealt with all arrival and leaving instructions in a timely manner and was really nice to talk to. We met the cleaning team as we left and they were also very nice. We will be back ! A glowing review for a very lovely house and gardens. The kids also loved the table tennis and games room. We loved the wood burner and playing games on the wet days we had ……. Perfect !!

The bathrooms smelt lovely and were very clean. The bed and linen were also spotlessly clean. Very well equipped kitchen, we had fun cooking together for our family of 7. My favourite feature of our stay at this property was the stunning garden and courtyard area, just perfect. Extras like barbecue, table tennis and outside seating area in addition to lovely welcome gift of scones and Prosecco helped make our holiday special. Thank you.

The size and number of rooms meant we could all be together if we wanted to or have some space if needed! The proximity to Flambards and the provision of free passes were a much appreciated bonus - and the manager and caretaker of the property couldn't have been more helpful. • "This house is amazing."

Top quality everything and really clean. Being November we couldn’t use the outside but the garden looks lovely. The house itself is enormous and we made lots of use of the two long dining tables for playing board games. We stocked the bar at the beginning of the week and used all the big pans to make one pot meals. The dishwasher was well used. The master bedroom is huge with a big en suite including a bath and a walk in shower. The house is fairly close to the runway of Culdrose and we could watch the planes taking off. Also we were right next door to Flambards, unfortunately it was closed for the year. Sainsburys is a short walk or a car ride away. We would love to stay again but we missed our dogs (they aren’t allowed there) so we will probably find somewhere else next time.

A.A. matelots from the midlands, who choose it to reminisce our past adventures on and around the Lizard area. The Lizard offers lots of stunning beaches and spectacular coastal walking away from the busy touristy hot spots. The Manor is very well equipped, comfortable and warm. The bar being the main social gathering point in the evenings, it was great to have old colleagues who live in the area drop in to see us. It's simply a great find for anyone who enjoys an independent holiday. We loved it.

  • "No shower mats in accommodation so very slippy and dangerous, had to buy plug in air fresheners as the house had a damp smell."

We had mixed weather so some days we had to stay in or come back early, the wifi was constantly not working and because the only two television in the house completely only work off WIFI , we found ourselves with no tv also. Advertises a 7 day free pass to the park which really only equated to one as the rides are only operated on a wednesday or weekend, so arriving on Saturday meant we only got to go on the Wednesday. We also had issues with the dishwasher and first day had to empty everything and re wash by hand. An engineer was sent but they already knew about the problem from the previous guests but did not mention it to us. Overall lovely accommodation, Dave was always on hand to help, negatives Kitchen is to small to accommodate full capacity, should have tv in the bedrooms and all should be linked to an actual aerial or router. Great position to drive to most places and if the weather had been better we may have stayed longer, but left day early as without wifi and tv my 4 year old and 18 year old were very bored just sat in a house.

Thank you for your feedback. Shower mats are placed in the property on Saturday at changeover. We are sorry if these were missed. The WiFi was a BT cable issue and affected the surrounding area for several weeks and was unfortunately out of our control. The property is 350 years old and has never been damp proofed, but we are looking into putting a log/wood burner in to dry out the property. Thanks again for your comments. Property Owner

Spacious for a large family not to feel on top of eachother, but still felt very cosy. Children loved playing in the huge garden while the adults relaxed on the sunny terrace , such a beautiful place to unwind with the flowers in bloom ! Very quick to sort out any problems we had and everything was immaculate. Was great to be able to pop in and out of flambards with the complimentary tickets and the welcome scones and fizz were a real treat after a long drive. Would definitely go back.

Everything you needed was provided and everything was to an exceptionally high standard. The property was completely refurnished last year and it shows. Virtually every fixture, fitting, appliance and utensil is brand new. The living room is comfortable and cosy, the kitchen is a lovely space, the bedrooms extremely comfortable, and the garden lovely and large. The bar area is a haven to relax in and the separate tv room a real plus when wanting to watch different things. Having 7 day passes for Flambards was a real plus and the property is very well situated to explore what Cornwall has to offer being in easy reach of places such as St. Ives, Lands End, and the lovely pretty harbour town of Porthleven which is just down the road. Highly recommended, we'll look to return.

  • "Tv in lounge stopped working during our stay also lukewarm water in showers and heating broke down on 2nd day they sent 3 people in total 2 of which didn't wear face masks when they entered the property and 1 of them walked straight into lounge where my son and daughter in law were sat with their 5 month old son, this unnerved them."

My partner is a qualified heating engineer and was concerned that one of the men who came wasn't qualified to do what he was doing in relation to the boilers. The 3rd person who came was a qualified heating engineer and semi resolved the heating issue (not able to have a constant temperature) but not the hot water.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you felt our property failed to meet your expectations . We take all feedback seriously and where we can improve as a result we will do so. We were made aware there was a problem with the heating (Sunday)and we immediately had someone check the property within hours of being notified .It became apparent that this was the failure of a wifi thermostat and as a result a qualified plumber was called who attended Sunday evening and fixed the heating , bypassing the wifi, with control of temperature by the thermostats on individual radiators, rather than the generic house thermostat. It is our policy that all visitors to the property should wear masks and I can only apologise that on this occasion our external contractors appear to have failed to do so . I do not believe we were notified of any malfunction with the TV in the sitting room and it seems to be working correctly. I can only wonder if it was a temporary wifi failure issue . I am pleased that your assessment of our property was exemplary in both cleanliness and comfort Kind regards Culdrose Manor Property Owner
