  • "This property is spacious and in a good location, only 15/20 minutes walk into Bude town centre and Crooklets Beach."

The kitchen is nicely fitted and is well equipped. The beds are comfortable with good quality bedding. The master bedroom is lovely and with some proper curtains (instead of just over large blackout linings) it would be wonderful. The house itself inside was clean except for the windows, but the ‘games room’, ie the garage, was dirty and dingy with loads of cobwebs - such a shame as the children and the adults enjoyed the games table, which was of good quality. The garden is spacious but needs a bit of attention. Lovely rainfall shower in the downstairs bathroom but no handle on the inside to open the door when inside ( my grandson and I both locked ourselves in there - we did manage to reach over the top of the door to pull it open so did get out after a slight panic!) The house could be gorgeous if it was made a bit more cosy and homely.

  • "Well located."

Very clean with comfortable beds We felt that the furnishings were not up to our usual standards. The kitchen items could be added to eg scales. Place mats only four yet the property has a maximum of six. Television on the blink with a permanent line down the middle

  • "Overall the property was very satisfactory but things like crockery and glassware were very lacking."

The house sleeps 6 but there are only 6 of each item, ie the bare minimum.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The photos don't do the property justice. It was a great size and comfortably housed my family of 4 and dog. It was clean and well presented. The games room is a great addition, but it is freezing as it is in the garage. The property is in a great location, with an easy walk to town and the beaches. It could do with a few a few improvements....blinds downstairs for privacy, simple fixes such as leaky shower, blocked outside drain. It was very wet when we were there and there was no airer to dry clothes. I did tell the caretaker and although they did look for one, did not provide us with one. Thanks goodness for radiators. All in all a lovely property and would return.

  • "We really liked this house although it was quite a walk into the shops and restaurants."

It was a bit basic because of COVID rules and a big shortage of crockery and cutlery but otherwise it was very nice. The garden was good for humans and dogs and there are plenty of walks from the doorstep.

  • "No 37 is a lovely property."

It is light and airy and was spotlessly clean. It has all the facilities available and is a true ‘home from home’. It is a pleasant stroll into the nearby town centre which is about 10 mins away. There are plenty of supermarkets a short drive away, with the local Sainsburys being on the walking route into the centre. We really enjoyed our stay at no 37 and would not hesitate to stay there again when holidaying in the area.

About the location

BUDE

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
