  • "Lovely cottage."

Plenty of space in the kitchen - we stayed longer than normal and having a large fridge/freezer was a huge help. Cleaners were very friendly and flexible. The only problem with Flushing is the parking - in the summer it can be a nightmare. Not the fault of the cottage of course, but recommend that if you have a car, you take up the owner's offer of renting a space on the quay, if available.

Thank you for your feedback. Whilst you may not be able to park outside the cottage there is free parking available on the surrounding roads. Property Owner

  • "This is a gorgeous cottage."

Well equipped. The parking space allocated is a must. Flushing is a lovely village and its great to be able to walk to the beach.

  • "Puffin was the perfect cottage to call 'home' for the week."

Very warm and cosy, spotlessly clean and so well equipped with all the basic necessities. The location is excellent -Flushing is such a pretty little village and the cottage is next door to the village shop and virtually opposite the ferry to Falmouth. There are two excellent pubs in the village. The Roseland peninsula has such picturesque valleys and estuaries to explore and the Helford River is virtually on the doorstep with its beautiful gardens, such as Trebah, which is well worth a visit. Thank you to the owner and housekeeper.

  • "The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped, great for families and in a fantastic location."

The parking option on the quay is well worth the small extra fee. When the open fire is lit it’s lovely

  • "Hi We really enjoyed our time at Puffin Cottage the only problem we had was the fact that there was no close grass area where we could easily take our dog."

Our dog is used to grass and fields so although it wasn't too far it was a less relaxing as we had to take her quite a way first-thing to do her business! So although it is described as suitable for dogs i believe that it should be identified that the neighbours garden outside the gate is not dog friendly there are signs everywhere! (Understandably) There are lovely dog walks not too far away. The cottage was a little further away from the beach than we thought, but near to the coast path which was great. The owner arranged a car parking space which was good as it was needed. Front bedroom was noisy first thing in the morning with deliveries. Flushing was lovely good pubs friendly locals and easy access to Falmouth and other areas. Would certainly stay in the area again, but not sure that the cottage was personally perfect with our dog who's use to grass nearby!.

Many thanks for your feedback. We accept dogs at the property and it is advertised with a courtyard. We have included a picture of the courtyard on the advert pictures so that guests can make an informed decision if it is suitable for their pets before making a booking. We can also confirm that the beach is within 0.6 miles of the property and we are glad you enjoyed the coastal walks. Property Owner

  • "Spotlessly clean and well-equipped cottage only yards from the quay."

Although Sykes’ phones were busy and we could not get through, we had made contact with the friendly owner and a few niggles were sorted out promptly by him. Recommend taking up the offer of a reserved parking space as parking outside cottage is difficult.
