“Had a really lovely holiday at Puffin Cottage.”

It was so comfortable and homely. The area is beautiful and the majority of the villagers made us feel very welcome. The only downside was parking. We had to park at least half a mile away for the whole week of our break. It did not stop us enjoying the holiday though as the ferry was a lovely way to get to Falmouth and we used it almost every day.

Thank you for the wonderful review of Puffin Cottage. We were very dismayed to read that you were unlucky during your visit with regard to parking. Â It is usually possible to park outside the house, and particularly off-season. If guests cannot park outside the house then there is parking further up Trefusis Road, near or around Flushing Sailing Club, no more than 0.1 mile. Kiln Quay is just over half a mile and the end of the village. It is incredibly unusual to have to park that far away. Hopefully this will not put you off our beautiful village and we are so pleased you enjoyed the ferry to Falmouth and beyond. - Sykes owner relations

The property

Puffin Cottage is a charismatic coastal retreat in picturesque Flushing village, across the water from fabulous Falmouth resort.

The interior is beautifully styled, fusing spacious contemporary charm with character to create a comfortable bolt hole, set paces from the waters’ edge.

The accommodation is set over two floors with three bedrooms and can sleep six guests.

On the ground floor is a little entrance leading into the welcoming sitting room with squashy sofas and open fire for cosy gatherings.

The kitchen with dining area is airy and bright, the perfect spot for socialising over good food.

The conveniently placed ground floor shower room is ideal for washing away sandy toes.

The first floor hosts three pretty bedrooms plus the family bathroom.

At the rear is a sunspot paved enclosed courtyard with garden furniture for barbecues, coffee and sundowner drinks.

Sample the Waterfront Inn and seafood restaurant as the boats sail by, or build an appetite first and enjoy a ramble along the scenic coastal footpath to stunning Mylor.

Much loved Falmouth boasts attractions for everyone; visit the National Maritime Museum, discover Pendennis Castle, swim at one of the four beaches or browse the art galleries.

Try a sea safari excursion, visit one of the spectacular sub-tropical gardens or discover the coastline from a hired kayak.
