  • "Foxglove cottage is a charming place but we were disappointed with the general condition and initial cleanliness of the place."

It needs a lot of tlc. However, there was plenty of hot water and the white goods were very clean and in good order. We enjoyed our stay but would not go back there. If we had paid over £1,000 for the week we would have been very disappointed. It's functional if you are not too fussy.

  • "The cottage needs some TLC, the views from the living areas would have been nice if the double glazing windows were not past there best and you couldn’t see the lovely views through the condensation that has got in between the double glazing."

Sauna not what expected, looks better on photos. Wet room had no light and was quite claustrophobic so wasn’t used. Location was very quiet but that was very good. A location centrally to travel across to main places in Cornwall

  • "It was perfect, I wanted a weekend away in the country with a hot tub and that is exactly what I got."

    Would definitely go back.

  • "While the location of the cottage was much more than we could have hoped for."

The cottage itself was great in size with room for guests or visitors. But there are a couple of things that need to be addressed. The paintwork is peeling off on a couple of the doors, there are patches on some of the walls where bits have been missed. The windows in the cottage need cleaning inside and outside and lack of pressure from the showers. It didn't spoil our holiday but I just felt that the cottage could do with a little TLC just to stop it looking a little tired.

the hot tub and sauna where great and needed after some of our daily walks as it was set back from the roads no traffic noise just lovely peace and quiet very tranquil indeed. We would have no hesitation in staying there again.

  • "Foxglove cottage was lovely and in a great location."

The view was beautiful. The hot tub was really big. Used it everyday. Steve who owns the cottage is a really nice man. Any problem call him or drop a text and he would sort anything needed. The cottage had fairy liquid sponge and tea towel. Main stores not too far away. The only problem was the internet was not great. But other than that a great holiday x

  • "We had a great time and its in a lovely place that was really close to a lot of places we wanted to go i."

    E. Eden Project, Padstow and coastal harbours. A couple of small items of recommendations we would suggest to include in the accommodation - hooks for coats, soap in the bathrooms/toilets and in the kitchen would be ice tray, salt & pepper and maybe silver foil and cling film. The power did go out and we had to work the meter as stated in the book, this was a little bit of a pain and luckily we found where the electric cupboard was. We also meet the owner who was lovely too. Thanks for everything.
