  • "Dusty, smelly, mould in both bathrooms, rubbish in the garden area, beehive above picnic table, was promised a deep COVID clean but found the back of a ladies ear ring in main bedroom on the floor, one of the beds was broken."

I think they need a more enthusiastic cleaner and a revamp

  • "Water pressure upstairs wasnt great we couldn't really use the upstairs shower, we all had to use the downstairs one."

The cottage could do with having a few more utensils, plates, glasses, cutlery etc. Overall a nice place in a great location.

  • "Expectation was not fully fulfilled from that advertised on website."

Some areas of cottage were tied, e.g. downstairs bathroom. Some issues not working for different reasons and not corrected during our stay although it did not impact on our stay.

  • "A well provided cottage in a lovely peaceful location."

Hot tub was great too. As we were already aware, there is no signal for calls but the wi-fi was excellent. Can highly recommend Honeysuckle for a nice break away.

  • "Hot Tub was very welcome as the weather wasn't good."

Good location for visiting Moor and beaches. Lanivet Inn does great pub food delivery to cottage.

  • "The cottage was in a lovely location."

Clean and welcoming. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Lovely touch was the bottle of wine and crisps waiting for us. A few small criticisms would be that the kitchen could do with a few more things like serving dishes and only had 6 of everything so if you were a group of 6 you would struggle. The water pressure in the shower upstairs was poor although manageable. The double bed was not very comfortable could do with a better mattress. The electricity slot meter was okay when you got the measure of it! The plus side was the hot tub which was great after a day out to relax in and listen to the birds singing. We would definitely return.

  • "Great location for everything we wanted to do."

Comfortable clean cottage. Could do with some of the fixtures and fittings being refurbished (curtain pole hanging on by a thread, fire not working) Only downside was water pressure in upstairs bathroom - really slow

  • "Hi. The cottage is really nice and has everything you need."

The hot tub was great. The only main problem was the water pressure in the showers is very low and just trickles out the shower head. Needed a jug to wash hair ect. This needs to be sorted.

  • "We loved this dog friendly cottage, the hot tub was a bonus and the lovely 15min walk through to Lanhydrock National Trust property was also a bonus."

Great location for visiting both Cornish coast lines. The cottage was comfortable and welcoming ... we didn’t want to leave and will return! I would take my own pillows next time but that is the only change that I would make.

  • "We found Honeysuckle Cottage very difficult to find but lovely and peaceful once there."

We also thought that the information was rather misleading in stating the cottage sleeps six people rather than four adults and two children, I went with a friend and my brother and sister-in-law and expected to have a separate room but neither of us could sleep in a small bunk bed. Lovely walks. Yvonne

  • "This is the second time we stayed on this site, we spent Christmas in ‘Stream’ and then this weekend in ‘Honeysuckle’."

Both cottages are amazing, great facilities and perfect location! The wine and homemade flapjack upon arrival was a lovely surprise! We cannot wait to return, it’s definitely somewhere you’ll go back to once you’ve stayed.
