  • "Meander Cottage is a fabulous place to stay."

Its central location is good for access to the beaches & seaside villages, especially Newquay & St Austell. The cottage is full of character & has a high standard of cleanliness. It has everything you need for a comfortable stay, like home from home. The garden is big, enclosed & great for dogs to run around. The paper blinds really need to go & be replaced with something easier to manage. More hanging space in the larger bedroom would be good too as we had to live out of our suitcase for the week. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard & everything in there is modern. It was lovely & quiet with a great outlook too. The weather wasn’t kind to us while we were there but it would be lovely to sit on the decking with a glass of wine watching the sunset. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodation & would certainly return.

Dear Katherine, We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage. Sorry to hear that the weather wasn't kind to you. Thank you for your really helpful and constructive feedback. We will look to get the blinds changed and provide more hanging space in the bedroom. Thank you for spending time at Meander Cottage. We would welcome you back at any time. Take good care Tracey Becky and Monty! Property Owner

  • "This feels like a cottage of two halves."

On first arrival the downstairs is beautiful. Modern contemporary and stylish. However a few things have spoiled our stay. The paper window blinds are confusing, they don’t work and it’s a mystery why there was paper at the windows, the towels were small, thin and old, there was no shelves or hooks in the bathrooms and no storage in the smaller bedroom, meaning we had to live out our suitcase. The last concern was the view, whilst in the listing it said there was some building work at the rear of the property, however neither the description or photos showed that in fact there are 3 new cottages with 3 more being build that obscures the view. Meaning the photos on the listing that are still there are out of date. The listing shows an unimpeded view, when this is not the case.

Dear Thomas, Thank you for taking the time in providing your feedback and for booking your break at Meander Cottage . We are sorry to hear that your stay wasn't as enjoyable as we would want it to be for you and the points you have raised have had such an impact on your stay and your feedback scoring, which is significantly lower than all of our other guests. We value all feedback from our guests and strive to ensure all who holiday at the cottage have an enjoyable and pleasurable stay. Key elements and actions we will take away following your feedback: * We will feedback your comments regarding the towels to the company who look after the cottage * We will ensure additional storage is provided in the front bedroom *We will Inspect and seek to change a number of the blinds at the cottage In terms of the view, we will reach out to Cornish Cottages to provide an updated photo now that the building works have progressed in the interest of transparency. However you are still able to see the rolling hills and sea views from both the front room and in the large picture window in the rear bedroom. Take good care and thank you for spending time at Meander Cottage. Tracey & Becky Property Owner

  • "We had a terrific stay at Meander Cottage."

It has a great central location within easy access to St Austell and Bodmin as well as Boscastle, Perranporth and many other places of interest. The house has been refurbished beautifully and is laid out very conveniently and well furnished. Everything was available that we wanted and the garden suited our dog very well being completely secure. The building works over the back were no issue whatsoever. Everything great but the weather!

Dear Vivien, Thank you so much for taking the time in leaving your feedback, we really appreciate it. We always review any feedback and take action to improve people's time at the cottage. We are really pleased you had an enjoyable stay at Meander and sorry the weather wasn't kind to you. Take good care and thank you for booking your holiday at Meander Cottage Tracey, Becky & Monty! • "We just loved Meander Cottage, absolutely perfect for us and our dogs."

The property is really well thought out and really cozy, has a lovely homely feel about it. The only thing we lacked was a hairdryer but wasn’t an issue. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen really well equipped with everything anyone would need. We didn’t get to use the fire as it wasn’t cold enough, but I’m sure that’s lovely when it it on

Dear Tina & Tony, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback. Thank you also for leaving our cottage so tidy on your departure. Hope you get to enjoy the beautiful charm of Cornwall again soon. Best wishes Tracey, Becky and Monty! Property Owner
