The property

Millbrook 1.5 miles.

A delightful chalet, perched on the side of Tregonhawke Cliffs and close to the village of Millbrook on the Rame Peninsula.

Perfect for a romantic break, the chalet is ideally located for exploring this delightful part of the country.

This pretty chalet is approached along an uneven cliff path, approximately 200 yards from the clifftop road and with panoramic views across Whitsand Bay towards Rame Head.

The chalet has an open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburner, ensuring that on cooler evenings the chalet is kept toasty warm.

The double bedroom has sea views and use of a shower room and the smaller bedroom has a triple bunk with a small double on the bottom and a single on top with en-suite wet room.

From the living area there are patio doors opening out onto a private garden with superb views and a Softub hot tub.

Relax on the patio with a refreshing drink whilst planning the next day’s activities.

There is a charming cafe called Cliff Top Cafe a few yards from the chalet and at the bottom of the steep cliffs is the sandy beach at Tregonhawke which has another seasonal cafe and is located within part of Whitsand Bay itself, which stretches to about five miles of sand and rocks.

There is also a renowned seafood restaurant called The View, which boasts breathtaking views and is only a ten minute walk from the chalet.

The beach can be accessed by various footpaths along the coastal path near the chalet.

From the beach (lifeguard between May and September) at Tregonhawke, there is swimming, wind and kitesurfing, kayaking and fishing, whilst an indoor heated swimming pool, cafe and bar can be found at Whitsand Bay Holiday Park at the top of the cliff.

Just a short drive away from the chalet are the coastal villages of Kingsand, Cawsand and St John, together with the towns of Looe, Polperro and Plymouth.

This lovely chalet is perfect for a romantic break in an idyllic location, or as a beach filled fun family holiday.

About the location

MILLBROOK

Whitsand Bay 1 mile; Plymouth 8 miles.

Set in a bowl of hills at the head of a tidal creek that leads to the Hamoaze, opposite the great naval city of Plymouth, Millbrook is located on the Rame Peninsula, "Cornwall's Forgotten Corner". Bounded by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze and the sea, the area is deeply rural and designated as one of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village has a good range of shops and pubs, while close by are the pretty coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, from which a ferry will take you to Plymouth. Along the southern edges of the peninsula are miles of beautiful walks with glorious views of Rame Head. Just a mile south of Millbrook lies Whitsand Bay with its miles of uncrowded sandy RNLI patrolled beach and dramatic cliffs. A superb base for discovering the wild side of Cornwall.
