  • "A really homely welcoming property."

Plenty of room for 10 of us & really well equipped. Hosts were excellent in their welcome & information. Fab stay, thank you

  • "Great location with everything you'll need for your stay provided!"

Owners even provided extras which was greatly appreciated. Its well equipped for children, we had a 6 month old and they had high chair, cot and stair gates which helped tremendously. The house was very clean and would recommend this place to anyone. We'll definitely be going back. Thankyou!

The only thing I would say that could be improved is a later check out 10/10.30am With check in at 4pm and check out at 9am you loose a day and when travelling far - its a early morning to be packed up and out and a tiring drive home.

I can't thank Chris enough for making our stay very enjoyable. The house is very well located. We had a great time and the kids loved the hot tub and the use of the belly boards. It's very close to the beech and there is lots to do.

  • "Lovely cottage and fabulous location (it’s so close to the beaches and shops)."

Having the hot tub is great. Contact from owner before arrival was helpful and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely treat. The weather was really awful the day we arrived and we were able to access the property slightly earlier, which was brilliant. Note the property is near a pub, which was noisy some evenings. There is also a check out time of 9am!

  • "Lovely place to stay, everything you could need was supplied, idea location close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants, good communication with the owners who were lovely."

The property is located across from a pub which is noisy at times but they close the outside area in the evening which is good. The property could do with a little more worktop space to accommodate 10 people, but we managed ok. The hot tub was lovely. There isn’t parking outside but there are local car parks very near, we paid weekly which is very reasonable and we could come and go and just display our ticket each time. Myself and my family would definitely return, thank you.

Other members in the group suggested a washing machine and outside tap at the front so as to not tread in sand etc despite this I think the property is great and not necessary Owners friendly and helpful and went above and beyond Would love to stay again

  • "This house was absolutely perfect for the gathering of a group of 11 ladies!"

Great location for the town and harbour/beaches so everything was walkable with the long stay carpark just behind. Chris was a GREAT communicator and everything felt very personal and thought about with a welcome message and goodies. The house was very clean, modern and neat. We really respected the place and all its furnishings for we could see the care that had been given to the holiday home. Everything we needed was thought of and already placed somewhere convenient. We didn’t want to leave and we made lots of happy memories there. Thank you.

  • "It would be helpful to have more places to hang wet towels and full length mirrors in each bedroom."

We didn’t think it was suitable for dogs as garden is so small and our boxer and westie peeded up the hot tub and pooed behind the hot tub!!! Not knowing the address until we’d paid was a disadvantage as in hindsight staying on the busy Main Street, although convenient for both beaches, meant that we had a week of broken sleep with drunken shouting until 4am most nights!!!!!

A lovely welcome with wine and biscuits too, with the property being extremely clean and homely feeling. One thing to say was that there wasn’t a washing machine which would have made it perfect, as we had a baby with us. But other than that such a lovely place.

!! We were 2 families, 3 generations and 2 small dogs. The property was warm, very comfortable, extremely clean and the location between the 2 beaches and the proximity to the harbour was brilliant. The bedroom configuration with the split between the different types of rooms really worked for us. The communication with both Sykes and the owners leading up to and during our stay was faultless with any queries being answered very promptly. We enjoyed it so much we have already booked our next stay. Thank you Chris and Mel for your hospitality - the cottage was warm and inviting when we arrived and the welcome pack was super and much appreciated.

Chris and Mel are fantastic and so helpful in every way. We stayed over Christmas and the house was made beautifully festive for us. We will most definitely be back in the future. The only thing I would say is a washing machine rather than a dish washer would be ideal Thank you for the festive gifts too Kind regards Paul Barratt and family

  • "Fantastic stay at Fistral Quay during September."

We were a group of 21-25 year olds and the location of the house was perfect for us. The house was really modern and clean, couldn't fault it. Clean towels and linen provided for each person; plenty of cups/bowls/cutlery; very spacious living/dining and kitchen area. The hot tub and outdoor space were very clean also. The house is on a busy road opposite a pub so can be noisy in the morning but wasn't too much of an issue. The house is also terraced so worth bearing in mind that you cannot use the outdoor space after 10pm. Would highly recommend this house for large groups!

  • "The property was clean and spacious enough for our party of 9 and perfectly located for both Fistral beach and the harbour."

Even though it is centrally located in the middle of Newquay, there was very little noise. There is no parking but there is a long stay car park within a couple of minutes walk, which is free overnight or you can buy a rover ticket for a reasonable weekly fee that can be used around Cornwall in certain car parks.

We found the accommodation to be perfect for us, the variety of bedrooms was ideal, something for everyone. The living space was also very well set out with plenty of seating and eating areas. The kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing that would have made this perfect would have been a washing machine. The hot tub was appreciated and used by everyone, a great plus to the whole holiday, especially on rainy days. Chris was very helpful, he couldn’t do enough to make us feel comfortable. We would definitely come back again.

The property

Lying between Fistral beach and Newquay harbour, is this fantastic terraced house, Fistral Quay, where you can enjoy the surf capital and all it has to offer.

Brilliantly suited for a large family or a group of friends due to its well-placed six bedrooms, this property is great for exploring other parts of Cornwall as well if you want to get to know this amazing part of the UK.

A spacious, farmhouse-style kitchen is home to a large double oven so you can cook up a wonderful meal for all the group, and what better place to share it than around the long dining table in the open-plan living area with bench seats for the perfect opportunity to spend time together reminiscing or making new memories.

After you've eaten all you can, retire to the large corner sofa - you might all fit on!

- and comfy tub chairs to watch a movie or a favourite show on the wall-mounted flatscreen TV before bed.

The ground floor benefits from two bedrooms, a twin and a double as well as a large modern bathroom with a bath.

Upstairs has a shower room and four more bedrooms, including two doubles, a twin and a single all decorated in a light and airy style and with the property being so close to the harbour, you'll probably be waking up to the sound of the gulls flying over the bay.

Heading back downstairs and outside will take you to the decking that is home to a Lazy Spa hot tub, superb for relaxing those muscles after a day on the surfboard.

Newquay's laid back charm can be seen everywhere you go, just take a walk to the centre of town and see for yourself; browse the local shops for some seaside souvenirs, or if you've really fallen in love with the lifestyle invest in a surfboard from one of the many surfing shops.

Tolcarne Bay, a fabulous crescent-shaped sandy bay, is the base of ElementalUK, a multi-activity centre with lessons in surfing, body-boarding, paddle-boarding, kayaking, archery and even bouldering, so really are spoilt for choice.

An exciting day out with the kids can be had at Camel Creek Adventure Park, just under a 30-minute drive away towards Padstow, where there are over 40 attractions, with family-friendly rides, giant play areas and even animal encounters!

The possibilities for adventure are endless in Newquay, and Fistral Quay will serve as your dream holiday home from which you can explore.
