  • "The house is a perfect base for exploring Cornwall."

It was clean and modern, with all the facilities we needed. You can walk into Perranporth, it is a good 40 minutes but there is a bus at the end of the road too, if you don’t feel like walking back. We made good use of The New Inn at the end of the road too, although book if you want to eat there.

  • "As far as we were concerned the property was well located, nice & clean."

All the necessary facilities within reach. One area that possibly can be improved is the Internet speed which was often dropping & not very efficient for the number of devices that we had connected. Of course, possibly, this was not exclusive to this property but the whole area. Overall we were very happy with our stay & will visit again if opportunities come up.

  • "We take a lot of trouble booking holiday properties and we were certainly correct in booking this property."

The house was very clean and well equipped. The garden was lovely and secure, the children were able to run around outside without any worries. The owners were very helpful in supplying two stair gates, highchairs and a travel cot. The house is near to all amenities and we had a wonderful meal at the local pub (5 minutes away). We would have no problem in booking this property again. A really very nice holiday was had by us all.

  • "The property was beautiful, warm and comfortable."

We did have an issue with the power cutting off but this was quickly remedied by visiting the mains box which kept showing that it was a plug upstairs that was a problem - this happened 3 times before we had the big village blackout and was not a problem after Sunday. The only thing my husband missed was a shaving point in the en-suite. All in all it is a wonderful property with good local facilities in short walking distance (pub, shop and childrens play ground) and we would definitely book again.

  • "We always put plenty of effort into choosing a holiday property and we got what we ordered at The Willows."

Booking was smooth as was the access to the property. All was nearly new as the property was only recently built and we were very comfortable in there. The Willows is well situated being less than 3 miles from Perranporth beach as well as a pub and a shop in walking distance. We very much enjoyed our stay and would happily book again. • "Lovely house well equipped."

However a few niggly things. The front door lock was very stiff and made opening the front door difficult as well as trying to get the key out of the lock. We ended up going in and out around the back. Only one tea towel supplied, would have been nice to have had two. We also would have liked to have put the towel rails on in the bathrooms to dry the towels but had no idea how to. It did get very warm in a couple of the bedrooms but the windows would only open a small amount. The double bedroom was very small with no room for luggage and only two bedside tables for furniture. Luckily only one person was using this room, with two in it would have been very cramped. Having said all that, we did however have a very enjoyable stay.

  • "I did contact sykes to see if there was a washing michine in the property which I was told no to but there was."

This was a massive help as I have 3 kids but I was a little concerned when there wasn't. It isn't advertised as one in there.

  • "The house is beautiful, very clean and well equipped with everything you could need."

The Owners were really helpful making sure we knew they were available if we needed them. We would have loved to have used the outside space but unfortunately it rained most of the week we were there, so it was fabulous to have all the inside space the house has.

It has a real luxury feel to it with the modern style interior and plenty of space plus the underfloor heating is a massive bonus!! The location is perfect for everything you need from popping into Newquay (10mins) or driving to Lands end which was only 1 hour away! We all had a brilliant stay here and will be booking up again soon! Thanks for a wonderful stay, my family and I loved it! The Maguire family

Very well equipped. Very clean. Only drawback was very slow wi fi and lack of curtains at triangle windows. Other than that excellent!!!

  • "The property is obviously a new build."

It is well insulated and has underfloor heating downstairs which makes it cosy and warm when you walk in. It is located close enough to Perranporth to be able to walk there. The house is well equipped and has a large back garden for a new build. The house is spacious and we enjoyed our stay.

About the location

GOONHAVERN

Perranporth 2 miles; Newquay 6 miles; Truro 9 miles.

Goonhavern is a small Cornish village in an excellent position just two and a half miles inland from Perranporth, which lies in the heart of Poldark country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham, who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Goonhavern is an active community with a traditional inn, village shop, garden centre and children’s playground. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of their rich heritage including abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The nearby town of Perranporth has a beautiful sandy beach which at low tide stretches to three miles long and is overlooked by craggy rocks suitable for rock pooling. The beach is lifeguarded in summer, providing a popular family destination and hosted the 2016 British National Surfing Championships. Perranporth also offers a small selection of shops, restaurants and pubs including The Watering Hole, a unique pub situated on the sand in the middle of the beach offering live entertainment with a great atmosphere, good food and an amazing view of the sunset! The local Blue Hills museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the rich heritage of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. For a greater selection of nightlife, restaurants and attractions, why not head for the coastal resort of Newquay (6 miles) Newquay is famed for its world-class surfing and has something for every taste and age including the popular Zoo, Waterworld indoor pool and the Blue Reef Aquarium. A perfect holiday base with activities to suit everyone. Truro (9 miles) the UK's most Southerly city is a vibrant centre of shopping, farmers markets, culture and impressive architecture right in the heart of Cornwall. Centre stage is Truro Cathedral. You will also find the River Fal, here you can catch a boat trip to Falmouth from the riverbank.
