The property

Gweek 1.2 miles.

This delightful, detached barn conversion of Manor Cottage rests on a farm in Gweek near Helston, Cornwall.

Enjoying countryside views and ground-floor living, Manor Cottage is a superb retreat for a family of four wanting to explore the Lizard Peninsula.

Upon arrival, leave your vehicle in one of the two off-road spaces and marvel at those idyllic, rural views.

Make your way inside the property and settle down in the sitting room, a space featuring ample seating for all the family in front of the TV with Freeview.

Pass through the lovely abode to the kitchen/diner, a charming area that hosts everything a foodie needs to make indulgent meals for all to enjoy, along with a convenient washing machine.

Meals can be enjoyed quickly at the breakfast bar before venturing out, or as a group meal at the dining table as you catch up on the day's events.

The family bathroom is nearby and generously offers both a bath and walk-in shower for you to freshen up in.

After a long day, relish a well-earned rest in one of two tastefully furnished bedrooms, including a king-size and twin.

The rear garden is enclosed, so your furry friend can stretch their legs, whilst you dine alfresco or simply soak up those delightful views with a morning coffee in hand.

The pleasant village of Gweek isn't far and provides you with a post office and convenience store and a traditional pub, along with access to walks along the Helford River with its creeks and the wonderful Cornish Seal Sanctuary.

Helston is also just moments away, a picture-postcard town that is home to the fascinating Museum of Cornish Life, along with Flambard's Theme Park, a great attraction for kids of all ages; the town is also home to some lovely walks for you and a canine companion, including Penrose walk and trails around the lake in Coronation Park.

Porthleven lies a little further afield and provides coastal fun for all the family, with its idyllic harbour, lengthy beach, restaurants and the marvellous National Trust property of Penrose.

Be sure to embark on the South Western Coastal Path to discover ample, stunning coves surrounding the peninsula, where an abundance of fun in the sun and sand is waiting to be had.
