Lovely location for exploring south Cornwall. Friendly hosts. Welcome flowers and cream tea on arrival.

It was very clean and comfortable and they did check that we were warm enough. The cream tea was very much appreciated. All in all a lovely week. Thanks

  • "Perfect location for a get away from it all holiday manor cottage is perfect and the hosts were great, very friendly and welcoming."

Keep your wits about you on the drive in Cornwall's narrow lanes are challenging but safe. It's a working farm so be prepared for. COCK-A-DOODLE-DO at 5am.with 4 resident cockerels starting the dawn chorus It is somewhere we would visit again without question.

  • "The property itself and the location are glorious."

Cream tea, milk and flowers on arrival are a lovely welcoming touch. The only minor downsides are that the water pressure for the shower is quite low, the double bed mattress is uneven in it’s comfort and the garden is not totally secure, with visits from the farm dogs who are all lovely, but were prone to leaving little presents in the grass

Friendly people who were relaxed with our family members coming and going. We felt very comfortable and we were fortunate to be able to take advantage of the lovely garden. Would love to return.

  • "We had a lovely stay at this exceptionally clean cottage."

Everything you could think of is catered for and we ate in most evenings. A great location to explore the Lizzard peninsula and the rest of South West Cornwall. This area seems to have its own micro climate as when most of Cornwall and Devon were covered in rain we seemed to get away with it. Lovely cream tea provided on arrival and hosts were very friendly and helpful, would love to visit again. Visit highlights included Kynance cove , the Lizzard , Portcurno & Minack theatre and St Ives and of course Marazion.

  • "Fantastic setting."

Scones and fresh flowers on arrival was a lovely touch. Everything was as described. Well equipped kitchen too. The only improvement would be a coat hook in the kitchen but not vital and didn’t spoil our stay. Thank you

  • "Another great stay at Manor Cottage."

We love the peaceful location here and the cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Pus the enclosed garden for the dog is ideal. It is a working farm so expect cockerels crowing and the odd early morning tractor movement, but that doesn’t bother us at all. Owners really friendly (but not intrusive) and the cream tea on arrival was much appreciated. We had a few wet days this time and a clothes airer would have been really handy to hang wet weather gear on for drying.

We had a fantastic perfect fortnight with Bridget and all the animals being so very friendly and the cottage was simply outstanding. I would recommend this property as a first class holiday all round. Well done to all concerned, my family and I miss it already

  • "Had a wonderful stay in a comfy, cosy, spotless cottage in the countryside surrounded by fields on a working farm but not far from the village of Gweek and town of Helston."

Our host Bridget was very friendly and helpful and the flowers and cream tea on arrival were a thoughtful welcome. Loved the wood burning stove of an evening and wifi available to plan our day trips and book tickets. An ideal location to explore both the Lizard and Land's End peninsulars. Highly recommend.

  • "The cottage was spotless and beds very comfortable ."

A chair in each bedroom for clothes would be nice and another single chair in the lounge area. The kitchen was lovely and bright. A slightly larger table would be good. A small dishwasher would be a great addition. The garden and parking area well maintained.

  • "The directions Sykes provided for Manor Cottage are very scant and don't make sense - there was a sentence we didn't understand at all, so we wasted a lot of time trying to find it and eventually had to ask in the Gweek shop."

We couldn't find the password for the rooter and had to ask where it was. The file about information on Manor Cottage was very scant and could have been more comprehensive. In fact it was a few forms with boxes provided by Cornish Cottage Holidays some of which had been filled in. A bit of background and history to the farm might have been very interesting, for instance. Having done B and B myself for many years I think they let themselves down on lack of background. Everything in the cottage was of such high quality (Sabatier knives for instance) but no small kitchen knives which when asked for was produced immediately. It is such a wonderful cottage and the owner is delightful, however, and so willing to help. (Too much to publish here I think.)

Quiet location with enclosed garden - great for our dog. Good central location to explore south Cornwall. All the facilities you needed and a comfortable place to relax. Bridget was lovely and always around to ask if anything was needed. Our children loved the farm, watching the chicken and goose wander around. Scones with cream and jam on arrival and milk in the fridge was a great surprise! Hope to be back again very soon.

  • "The cottage was very clean and bright and comfortable."

Being on a working farm was great to see and hear the animals, the bullocks, the geese and the roosters. It was lovely for our dog having an enclosed garden to run around in and see the host’s dogs. We had everything we needed for the kitchen, but we were unable to find a corkscrew for opening a bottle of wine. There was a lack of hooks to hang up outside coats, We ended up hanging our outside coats on the back of the kitchen table chairs.

Very clean and comfortable good quality utensils, crockery, cutlery, tableware etc. very thoughtfully put together. Beds and bedding, towels etc. spotless and good quality. Comfy sunny lounge. All wood flooring very suitable for those with four legged friends. Sunrises with cockerels crowing idyllic. Close enough to amenities with the feeling of being in the depths of the country.
