The cottage

An elegant, spacious apartment situated on the first floor of a 16th century manor house, now converted into exclusive apartments at Kenegie Manor Holiday Park, two miles from the coast and town of Penzance, in the far west of Cornwall.

With added benefits on-site (available between March and October) that include a heated swimming pool, sauna, tennis courts, children’s play area and Clubhouse with licensed bar subject to variable opening times.

This lovely destination is ideal for couples or a holiday with friends and family to explore the region or enjoy a relaxing break.

Arranged over one level, the grand features of the original building are evident as you enter this comfortable apartment.

High ceilings, large picture windows and exposed granite walls are mixed with tasteful modern furnishings to create a restful and relaxing interior.

The open plan living room enjoys views across the communal landscaped gardens, furnished with leather settees and a dining area.

A smart gloss white kitchen is well equipped.

Both bedrooms are spacious and attractively dressed in matching drapes and bed linen, the master boasting an en-suite shower room.

There is also a separate family bathroom.

Outside guests have use of the immaculate gardens and can enjoy the on-site facilities during the season, provided by a local holiday firm.

The location is ideal for exploring this scenic region of Cornwall, with day trips to St Ives or Land’s End popular choices.

Pack a hamper and enjoy one of the marvellous events on offer at the Minack, the open-air theatre carved into rocks and overlooking the turquoise blue waters at Porthcurno.

For lazy days on the beach, Marazion is just 10 minutes and the white sandy beach of Sennen, popular for surfing is 20 minute drive.

About the location

St Ives 8 miles.

One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas. The spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves, winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Scilly Isles. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
