Resting in Relubbus near Goldsithney on the spectacular Cornish coast is this lovely, single-storey lodge, Red Robin 14.

The lodge rests on the River Valley Country Park, set in a rural location with an on-site launderette and WiFi, and welcomes a family of four to explore Cornwall's best attractions.

Upon arrival, you'll find an off-road parking space right in front of the lodge to quickly unpack and begin your holiday.

Settle into the open-plan living space with a large, cushioned corner sofa to put your feet up and watch TV after a long walk along the coast.

Start the electric fire on colder evenings for added comfort and set the dining table for four, whilst the family chef whips up a home-cooked meal in the kitchen; a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge/freezer makes for a compact, yet well-equipped self-catering lodge.

Plenty of space for your holiday essentials is available in two snug bedrooms, a double and a twin, with mirrors and shelf space to get ready for the day's adventures with ease.

Both bedrooms have access to the well-appointed Jack and Jill shower room to rinse off the sand in the spacious walk-in shower, before wrapping yourself in a towel fresh off the heated towel rail.

On sunny days, make the most of the beautiful countryside surroundings with a picnic on the lawn area in front of the lodge, or find a quiet spot in the country park along the River Hayle.

Red Robin (Number 14) puts you in an excellent spot for exploring Cornwall; stock up in the nearby village of Goldsithney, home to a village shop, post office and a traditional pub for family meals out, before continuing south to Marazion.

With plenty of family-friendly attractions on offer, Marazion offers a variety of shops, eateries and a play park for children, as well as the fabulous St Michael's Mount, a rocky island home to a medieval castle, Norman church and sup-tropical gardens.

Spend the day in Penzance with a traditional promenade for dazzling views of Mount's Bay, cobbled alleyways hosting independent shops and cafés, boats bobbing along Penzance's picturesque harbour, or take a dip in the quirky, art deco Jubilee Pool with sea views.

Journey south east from Red Robin 14 to find Helston, a bustling town for guests to soak up local heritage in the Museum of Cornish Life, grab a delicious Cornish pasty from Ann's Pasties, before heading to Porthleven Beach for a day of sun, sea and sandcastles.

Whisk your family away to Red Robin 14 for the best of Cornwall's countryside and coast.

About the location

GOLDSITHNEY

Marazion 1.5 miles; Penzance 4 miles; Helston 11 miles.

A typically Cornish country village with picturesque houses, shops and village pubs, Goldsithney is set back from the coast, thus escaping the main tourist rush, yet lying close to all the main attractions. Dominating the area and just 2 miles away is the off shore island castle of St Michael's Mount - reaching it via the causeway when the tide is out is a must. Right on the doorstep there are fabulous beaches, the coastal path (winding its way over the cliff tops) and plenty of sailing and fishing. Visit Penzance, with its slightly bohemian air, the cliff-top theatre at Minack or the stunningly beautiful fishing villages of Marazion and Mousehole - a superb base for exploring beautiful Cornwall.
