  • “Hagar Vor was in a beautiful location with exceptional views.”

Overall this stay was lovely, the house had everything we needed. The dishwasher was broken when we arrived but the owner got this fixed within two days which was amazing. Only thing we found was the place wasn’t as clean as we would of liked/expected. The bathroom was filled with dust and could clearly see where it wasn’t clean (under the sink and behind doors etc). After reading the blue guide book it also states to not wash the bedding/towels if dirty and therefore I think a second lot ...

After reading the blue guide book it also states to not wash the bedding/towels if dirty and therefore I think a second lot of towels should be provided for this when staying for a week. It’s nice to have a fresh set! Other than this we couldn’t fault the stay

Thank you so much for completing feedback following your stay at Hagar Vor. We have spoken to the owner regarding the points raised and they were sorry to hear that the bathroom was not as clean as expected, this was an oversight on this occasion. The blue book states bed linen is not to be washed by guests as it is professionally cleaned, it also states that if extra linen is required during your stay the owner would be happy to provide this. There is no mention that towels cannot be washed by guests. Despite the points raised, we are really pleased you enjoyed your visit. Property Owner

The property

Boasting stunning views, this semi-detached house offers superbly presented accommodation in the coastal town of Marazion, West Cornwall.

With the town's amenities and stretch of sandy beach on your doorstep this house is a great choice for a family seaside holiday.

Step into the modern, spacious kitchen and you will find everything you need for preparing tasty delights and when you are ready to retire to the sitting area, you can settle into the comfy sofas, admire the views across St Michael's Mount and the ocean around Mounts Bay and just watch the world go by.

The four lovely bedrooms are upstairs, each with their own TV and two having fabulous views to wake up to.

The pretty courtyard patio is perfect for al fresco dining or just relaxing with your favourite tipple in the sun while you fire up the barbecue.

The small coastal resort of Marazion buzzes with a colourful mix of art galleries, gift shops, eateries, inns and cafes.

Just a short walk will take you to the stretch of sandy beach where the sea is ideal for boating and sailing and no trip here is complete until you jump on a ferry, or walk across the cobbled causeway at low tide, to St Michael's Mount.

This is a fabulous area to spend your much deserved holiday however, if you wish to see more of this wonderful county, the sandy beaches of Perranuthnoe, Porthcurno and Sennen are all beautiful and within easy driving distance.

If you enjoy walking, the market town of Penzance can be reached from Marazion along the South West Coastal Footpath or take a trip to the perfect hotspot of St Ives.

The open air Minack Theatre, carved out of the granite cliffs, makes a fabulous evening out watching a performance under the stars, do remember to book in advance!

A wonderful house in an amazing location for a truly memorable holiday.

About the location

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
