  • "Wow Wow what a great holiday, what a great place Scrumpy cottage is."

The facilities are second to none, gym amazing, swimming pool awesome, games room’s were brilliant. Where do I begin to say how good this place is the hosts and family really friendly gave us a tour when we arrived, then said knock our door if you need anything, then left us to enjoy. Scrumpy is such a wonderful cottage beautifully designed plenty of room spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, wonderful kitchen stocked with all the appliances you need. Tea and coffee supplied washing liquid and tea towels. There were 4 in our party but there is plenty of room for 6. The hot tub was well used as well as all the facilities, we we lucky as we were the only people staying there for most of the week. The only draw back with the whole thing is that the time just raced by. We were so impressed that halfway through the week we booked for next year. Well done to Chris, Joanne and family for there hard work in making these holiday cottages fantastic. Look forward to seeing you next year thanks from the Taylors.

Hi , as usual a great stay with our families, only small criticism we had was when sitting with family staying in Trewenna house , was that the people staying in the barn behind had to walk right passed where we where sitting each time to get to the pool , would it be possible to make another passage , apart from this we had a great stay , thank you

  • "Thankyou so much, we had a lovely long weekend in Scrumpy and would love to return."

The on site facilities were exceptional and the cottage warm, clean and very well equipped. The owner was incredibly helpful in getting us settled and showing us around on arrival as well as explaining how to access everything. It was all made incredibly easy, which made a huge difference to what we had hoped would be, and was, a relaxing break away. Car parking was ample for all four of us arriving separately and the location is perfect for coastal walks too.

  • "Chris and JoAnne were incredible hosts."

Scrumpy is a very comfortable cottage, with every amenity we needed, in a lovely part of Cornwall. The Equestrian Centre staff were excellent, so the lesson in the indoor ring was the highlight of our stay. And as an added bonus, the luxury heated swimming pool was such a comfort on a cold winter day. We really want to give Scrumpy, and all the staff, 12 out of 10 ……

This was a family visit with young and old, male and female. We were completely blown away with the facilities in place, the location and the cleanliness. It was out of this world and we are already looking to book again next year. We had the best time! We thank the hosts for their hospitality!

  • "Wonderful cottage for total peace and tranquility."

Clean and cosy, with plenty for everyone to do as the facilities are excellent. The owners where very good and just left us to it after showing us around. Even though the facilities are shared it was still brilliant. My whole family loved the experience, and Sykes kept me updated throughout the process. Overall very happy with everything from booking to the end of the holiday.

They are fantastic especially the pool. Chris and Jo we’re great, showing us what’s what and basically left us to enjoy for the week! The two pubs in mullion 2 minutes down the road served excellent food as did Henley’s in Helston especially Wednesday and Friday steak nights, exceptional value and beautiful food.

  • "Cottage and facilities were excellent."

Very clean and well organised. Met and shown round by owners then left alone but were able to contact them if we needed anything. We asked for a loan of a vase as we had been bought flowers for our anniversary also asked for a parasol for the outside table. Both were promptly provided. The swimming pool was lovely, clean and warm, my only concern was that there is no shallow end so I think people need to be aware. 2 people in our party were unable to stand securely in the pool which meant they were always having to swim or tread water, this was quite tiring and they did not use the pool as much as they would have. I personally loved it!!! Such a lovely welcoming cottage and grounds, the dogs loved being able to run around on the field. We are considering going back next year.

The pool and hot tub are great! Very helpful Owners. Thank you so much for the toys, books and airer! Incredible area with loads to do within a 20-30 minute drive. Spectacular scenery. We had a great stay, couldn’t fault it. Thank you!

  • "Excellent place to stay!"

The landlords were really helpful and always available for any questions. We stayed during covid restrictions and the use of the shared facilities were super easy, we just arranged to text the other cottage to use separately the facilities. Everything was in super condition, the cottage, the shared facilities. It is located next to the Equestrian centre and the staff of the centre was really nice and open (we had our little one going to check the horses everyday!). The inside of the cottage is overall clean but the cleaning level could be higher, for example inside of cupboards were a bit dirty and the cutlery, glasses were not 100% clean, so we had to rewash the glasses. Only minor point though because the whole experience was really great!

We were made very welcome by the owners and the cottage had everything you could need. We were unfortunate to book the week of Storm Daniel so the weather was pretty bleak but there was still plenty to do in the area and our grandchildren were always happy to return to the cottage to swim, use the hot tub and the many other facilities on offer.
