"Having stayed in Warveneth in 2019, we were looking forward to returning."
Firstly, the positives: bedrooms and bed linen were clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Also, the provision of milk, biscuits and Saffron cake on arrival was much appreciated.
However, after a long journey we opened the door and we were hit with a very unpleasant doggy smell. The property did not smell fresh and clean. We soon discovered that this smell came from the sofa. Not only was the sofa uncomfortable, but it smelt of dogs. We appreciate it is a dog friendly property, but we did not expect this and have never experienced this at other properties. Having seen that this was mentioned in previous reviews, it was disappointing that this problem had not been resolved.
Although we enjoyed staying in Angarrack, we will not be returning to Warveneth as the interior of the property is very dated and requires a refresh. Absolutely nothing had changed from our previous visit right down to the table cloth and place mats in the kitchen (plus there were no teaspoons).

"Had a lovely stay at Warveneth, cottage a little dated, but that only added to its charm, everywhere clean and smelled very fresh."
Absolutely everything you could need was provided, especially in the kitchen.
Will definitely be back in the future.

"The bungalow needs some updating, especially the living room."
The main problem was the living room smelt of dog urine and if you didn't leave the windows open (including whilst you were out) and the living room door open it was far worse. We believe the smell came from the couch. The owner had opened all windows before we had arrived.

"The welcome tray & milk was a nice touch."
However, the property is dated, noticed a fusty smell on entry and a general whiff on the couch. Bed was comfy. The photos make the house look bigger and although the 10 steps are mentioned a photo would help those like myself with mobility issues.
I’d hardly describe the back garden as a ‘nice place to sit and enjoy lunch’, it’s dark and unkempt.
All in all it’s a bit of a sad and unloved property, needs upgrading and definitely not child friendly. Having said all of this it more or less did the job and the area was lovely.

"It was filthy & stunk of dog urine."
The best thing about the cottage was location & the bathroom. The rest of the cottage was a major let down after an eight hour drive.

"Not very helpful."
We had an uncomfortable mattress and the sofa in the lounge was uncomfortable and not very clean. We had to wash mugs and cutlery Even the toilet roll holder is hanging off the wall. We did love the area and had a lovely holiday.

"Very nice cottage, perfect for children, and great location to explore Cornwall."
Our only issues were the mattress in the master bedroom was not very comfortable, and neither was the sofa in the lounge. Also the main oven did not appear to be working. But overall we enjoyed our stay.

"Enjoyed our stay immensely at Warveneth, very comfortable, with plenty of room for the two of us and our dog."
Nice welcome pack and the friendly owner was very quick to sort out an issue with a tv. Very accessible lovely little village with a pub 2 mins walk away, food/retail shopping nearby and great beaches 5 mins by car. Ideally situated to get out and about and explore this part of Cornwall, thoroughly recommended and have rebooked Warveneth for later this year and also 2018.

"This property is great for seeing the Christmas lights in Angarrack and loved the view of the viaduct."
A shame we could not get booked into the local pub for a meal, had to travel out of the village.
The sofas were uncomfortable, too many steps for my elderly dogs and for me too, with arthritic knees going up the garden and down again. Please take care of the steps in wet / icy weather. . The gardens are not child or dog friendly,

"We usually stay with our son and his family but the bungalow was a lovely quiet place to return to."
Having been a visitor to Cornwall now for fifty years this is for the money the best property we have ever rented. We have never had sky television here you even have it in the bedroom!! Our two shelties loved the walks around the village and its viaduct which can be seen from the rear of the property. Would you please thank Miss Burton for us.
Thank you Les and Elaine Saunders.
