Waterloo Farm

Waterloo Farm boasts spacious accommodation with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and is centrally located for visiting all of Cornwall and Devon, within very easy reach of the sandy beaches and rugged cliffs of the North Cornwall coast. There are numerous award winning restaurants, local food festivals, gardens and golf courses to visit, among many attractions easily reached within the area, such as The Eden Project, Plymouth Aquarium, and King Arthur's Castle at Tintagel, providing fun-filled action the year-round. Alongside the farm with its magnificent livestock and amid colourful hedgerows and flowers, live an abundance of wild birds, butterflies and animals such as foxes, otters and badgers. A wildlife hide overlooks the River Ottery for peaceful viewing outdoors, or should you wish to stay within the cosiness of the interior, the natural beauty can be viewed from the TVs based in every cottage. Webcams have been carefully set up around the farm, so you may just behold swallows eggs on the verge of hatching or baby bats leaving their nursery. There are lots of fun-filled activities on the farm as well as acres of lush Cornish countryside and two miles of riverside walks to explore. Try clay pigeon shooting or river fishing and enjoy the wonderful outdoor heated swimming pool, games room and giant sandpit. Set in the grounds of Waterloo Farm, surrounded by 200 acres of land is Swallow Barn, a light and airy cottage with split-level access showcasing original wood floors and traditional beams.

There are two comfortable bedrooms; one king-size double and one family room comprising of three single beds.

The kitchen is well-appointed and there is a quiet shared courtyard with laundry facilities to use at your leisure.

Step outside and enjoy the sun on your face as you absorb the marvellous surrounding farm land atmosphere with views of the ever-reaching vivacious fields beyond.

The town of Launceston, situated on the Devon and Cornwall border, has wonderful architecture, including some fine Georgian buildings in the central square, and is dominated by the ruins of a Norman castle sitting high above the town. Visit the Tamar Otter Park just 0.8 mile away or take a trip on the steam train from Launceston through the beautiful Kensey Valley on a 5-mile round trip. Launceston is within driving distance of the seaside resorts of Bude and Padstow to the north, and Plymouth to the south, as well as the stunning Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor. The nearest beach in Crackington Haven is 11.6 miles away. A superb base for exploring Cornwall and Devon.
