• "Good location for exploring Cornwall."

  Very comfortable cottage, has everything you need for a great holiday. Just 10 mins walk from large supermarket. Lots of dog walks on the doorstep, lovely enclosed garden for dogs. Would hire this cottage again.

• "Great stay, owners at the end of the phone when needed."

  Everything to hand. My boys, both with disabilities had a great time playing on the rear lawn and was very accessible for people with additional needs. We will certainly be back. Thanks Denise and Roy for sharing your cornish cottage with us! X

• "Kilden Cottage is an absolutely gorgeous holiday home, ideally located close to the centre of Helston and very near a large supermarket."

  The cottage is well maintained and very comfortable with lots of nice touches that make it very welcoming. The cottage was very clean, with high quality linens and kitchen equipment. The garden catches lots of sun (if you’re lucky with weather as we were), and is secure for dogs which was very welcome. We had a fabulous week and wished we were staying longer. Will definitely book this cottage again.

• "Convenient, accessible, location which met the needs of a 3 generational family plus dog."

  Great place to stay & explore Helston and local area, the Lizard peninsular and get across to other parts of southwest Cornwall easily during Easter holidays. The cottage was cosy and comfortable, well maintained & extremely clean. The owners were also extremely helpful. Lovely place to stay & would highly recommend.

• "We had a fantastic stay at Kilden cottage."

  The property was exceptionally clean and we were very comfortable. From the tasteful decor to the cosy log burners and the very, very comfortable beds we could not have found a more perfect base for our holiday. Ideally located for visiting our favourite coves on the Lizard peninsula, Porthleven and and Praa sands. Mousehole, Newlyn and Marazion are also within easy reach as is our other must-visit town of Falmouth. We had plenty of space in the cottage and everything we needed for the times we decided to cook ( there are also plenty of amazing places to eat out - our personal favourites are Poldhu beach cafe, The Twisted Currant in Porthleven and Wavecrest cafe on The Lizard). We definitely look forward to a return visit in the summer months where we will take full advantage of the wonderful outdoor space. Another massive bonus for us was ease of access and parking - no tight country lanes to navigate! Thank you Denise and Roy for such a friendly welcome and for providing such a first class holiday home. This really has been one of the best we have stayed in (& we’ve been visiting Cornwall for many, many years!)

• "We have really enjoyed our stay at Kilden Cottage."

  It is very convenient for local shops and ammenities and close to all of the local attractions and beaches. The garden is the most secure I have seen - my dogs were safe and I was able to relax knowing they were safe. This is a lovely quiet detached house that is a home from home. We will definately return. Thank you for having us.

• "We had a great time at Kilden Cottage."

  It was in a good location - the perfect base to explore stunning Cornwall. And it was a lovely place to chill out of an evening. The cottage was very well equipped, and had everything we needed for our week stay. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, and messaged a few times to check if we needed anything and to wish us a safe journey. We all loved our week in Kilden, especially my 4 year old who didn't want to leave. And we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

• "Stunning property in a cracking location; beautifully maintained and very well equipped for our stay."

  The large, fully enclosed garden was lovely and the addition of the swinging bench under the mini pergola was perfect! We all had a fabulous stay and we’re sad to have to leave. Highly recommend!

• "We had a wonderful two weeks in Kilden cottage."

  The location is superb to get to many places and the cottage was very nice and comfortable. It was very clean when we got there, the rooms were spacious and the garden was enclosed which was excellent for our Labrador. The owners of the cottage were very helpful when we first arrived with the internet and got us the help required for sorting it out. We have already booked for next year. Thank you.

• "This was our second holiday at Kilden Cottage & we noticed numerous improvements the moment we walked in."

  The new owners have made the cottage even more comfortable than before, with everything you could possibly need, a real home from home. The location is perfectly situated to explore Cornwall, with lots of amenities near by. The enclosed garden is perfectly safe for dogs & children. If we were asked to be picky and point out a negative it would be the traffic noise from the busy main road but, taking into consideration all the positives this cottage has to offer, this a small compromise. We would definitely recommend this cottage as a fabulous place to stay.

• "Beautiful, clean, well equipped cottage."

  Ideally situated to explore the lovely coastline and countryside around. As a mixed age group we all found things to interest us within a short drive and had a lovely week. We would recommend staying at Kilden Cottage.

• "Very comfortable and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail."

  Loved the seaside themed pictures and ornaments but not overdone. Liked the neutral colour palette used. Everything we needed including a bottle of wine and ice left in the freezer! The garden was delightful with the summer house and seating area but unfortunately it wasn’t warm enough to sit out! We’ll be back I’m sure!

• "Kilden Cottage is a wonderful place to stay and Denise and Roy are great hosts!"

  The cottage is very clean, cosy and comfortable and with two wood burners, as well as efficient heating, you are always warm! Our stay over Christmas was further enhanced by a Christmas tree in the dining area, more Christmas lights and decorations in the lounge and some Christmas treats! What a lovely surprise! The garden is ideal for dogs, being fully enclosed and secure with a high back gate which can be bolted. The location of Helston is perfect for visiting anywhere in West Cornwall. So many places are within an easy drive. Would definitely stay again!

• "In this day and age it would be useful to have an external electric socket available at the parking to facilitate electric car charging overnight."

• "The cottage is cosy, with plenty of room for my grown up family."

  Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs. Close to the local spar shop ( very friendly staff) and the town of Helston has some really nice shops, everyone we met were friendly.The off road parking is a definite bonus.
