“What a beautiful cottage the whole deco was just superb and very clean filled with everything you need and more, the kitchen is amazing!”

    !! ...

!! A lovely touch coming in to homemade scones, jam & cream too and a vase of fresh flowers... Stunning views and great for cliff top walks for everyone and for the brave the climb down to the cove, but can always go to an easier excess one if you need to, nothing is too far away. There is also a downstairs toilet as well as one in the bathroom, so better if up to 6 guests. It's in a perfect position being between 10-20mins away in the car from all the lovely seaside towns. We visited the Sea-lion sanctuary which was awesome, Poldark Mines, drove to Land's End, plus we tried the escape room in Penzance which was great fun and eat out at Rick Stein's restaurant, but so many lovely restaurants and pubs to try and plenty to do or not depending on what you want to do. First UK holiday since a child and made me realise just how beautiful our country is, a very friendly place and will definitely do again. We had our friends from Australia Visit and they loved it. Thank you so much for an easy holiday to plan and with no problems.

The property

Covva is an old stone barn conversion with a pretty garden and nestled in the cliff top hamlet of Rinsey.

It really is far from the madding crowd with amazing sea views across Mounts Bay to the Lizard Point.

Mere moments from the South West Coast Path and a secluded sandy beach, Covva is an unforgettably special, spacious and light-filled home-from-home with a reverse level layout to maximise the views.

Step inside to the sun room with views out to sea and deep sofas for lounging.

The kitchen dining room has beamed ceilings, oak wood flooring and a chunky dining table for sociable mealtimes.

Head upstairs to the large sitting room and plenty of comfortable furniture, original artwork, books, games, toys and a piano!

You will sleep soundly in peaceful bedrooms, some with sea views.

Ideal for extended families, there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom on the ground floor and a second double bedroom on the first floor.

Outside there is a sunny patio terrace with sea views and garden furniture for barbecues and alfresco meals plus an enclosed garden for children.

Covva sits at the end of the lane so there is little passing traffic.

The sandy beach at Rinsey Cove, which is approx. 500 metres along a steep winding footpath, is your playground.

Discover a dog friendly beach and a sublime seascape with dramatic cliffs and old mining ruins.

Follow the coast path to the fishing village of Porthleven, its beach and atmospheric harbour and pier.

Explore art galleries, gift shops, cafes, traditional old inns and excellent foodie restaurants, including Rick Stein Porthleven.

Further along the coast is the lifeguarded beach and golf course at Praa Sands and the island topped castle of St Michael's Mount at Marazion.

Helston lies at the western gateway to the Lizard Peninsula, a large area of downland fringed by a beautiful and spectacular coastline. Helston is a pleasant busy market town famous for its Flora Day Festival and the many stories and legends about the "Furry Dance" are told in the fascinating Helston Folk Museum. Nearby is the Poldark Mine, one of the best underground experiences in the south west and which tells of the widespread mining heritage of this area.
