“Fantastic location for getting to both coastlines.”

And a great place if you love the countryside. Will go back next year.

The property

Situated in the stunning countryside of Withiel in central Cornwall surrounded by rolling hills and fields with 9 acres of woodland is this delightful farmhouse on a working farm of 120 acres.

Well-presented throughout the property offers comfortable accommodation for families and friends wishing to experience a taste of countryside living in a rural setting.

The house has an open plan kitchen/dining area, which looks onto a spacious garden, with all the appliances to book a hearty meal.

The dining room has a wood burning stove giving the room a cosy, rustic feel to enjoy a home cooked meal.

Step through to the sitting room, which boasts a large fireplace with another wood burner, where you can relax with your companions.

The first floor has four bedrooms, two doubles, one twin and a single, perfect for all types of groups wishing to stay here, with a stunning countryside view from every window.

Outdoors there is a large garden and a paddock offering plenty of room for your little ones to let off steam, there is also a trail through the wood by the river to explore.

Due to its location this property offers plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling with the Saints Way running from Padstow through Withiel Parish across to Fowey on the South Coast, a distance of 27 miles.

Also nearby is the Camel Trail along 18 miles of disused railway line from Padstow to the foot of Bodmin Moor.

Hendra is equal distance from the North and South coasts, ideal for surfing and sandcastles, water sports and walking, and is only 5 minutes from the A30.

Bodmin and Wadebridge are the closest towns 6 miles away but a closer village shop in either Lanivet or Roche both 4 miles away.

Plenty of storage for bikes and surfboards etc.

About the location

BODMIN

Lostwithiel 6 miles; St. Austell 13 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Newquay 21 miles.

Bodmin, the one-time County Town of Cornwall with its narrow streets, shops and pubs, is perfectly placed for exploring all that this fabulous holiday area has to offer. The outstanding surf, rugged cliffs and hidden coves of the north coast beaches and the quieter sands and river estuaries of the south coast are both 15 miles away while on the edge of town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail. The popular Camel Trail for cyclists and walkers also winds its way through the town on its journey to the sea at Padstow. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. Also within easy reach and ideal for a fun-filled day out, guests can visit Lanhydrock House, the small town of Fowey and Charlestown with its Tall Ships, The Eden Project and Lostwithiel. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
