  • "I dont believe a deep clean was done at the premises."

    Their were cobwebs, the playroom smelt musty. The dishwasher needed salt and rinse aid. There was also dogs mess in the courtyard at the back. Apart from that, it was a nice property.

The property

Surrounded by endearing meadows, woodlands and the river Camel, on the outskirts of Bodmin Moor, is the picturesque gated hamlet of Camelside Cottages with 3 tasteful Cornish cottages including this well-presented property, Honeysuckle.

This semi-detached dwelling is perfect for a friends and family gathering for those looking to spend time within the majestic countryside or venturing out to the picturesque Cornish coast.

Stepping through the spacious porch, you are drawn into the open-plan living room, where you and your loved ones can look forward to spending relaxing evenings whilst the warmth of the wood burning stove fills the room with tranquillity.

In here, you will find a well-equipped kitchen which houses all the necessities to prepare of all of your meals.

After dinner or breakfast, adults can curl up on the plush sofas whilst the younger guests make the most of the first-floor playroom.

As the evening draws to a close, drift off to sleep within one of the delightful bedrooms, comprising of a ground-floor twin bedroom, a super-king-size bedroom and an additional twin bedroom.

To the outside of the property you will find a private patio area where you can perch on the picnic bench whilst your canine companions stretch their legs on the lawn.

Alternatively, you and your loved ones can make the most of the sites excellent facilities to the front of Honeysuckle which include outdoor play areas, a large covered BBQ and free fishing along the banks of the river Camel where salmon and trout pass through.

Sit back and enjoy the sounds of nature and babble of the river, or step out on a clear night and marvel over the dark skies, with a lack of light pollution the sky is filled with stars, you may even see a shooting star.

To keep you busy whilst staying at Honeysuckle, soak up the sun at one of the nearby beaches of Tregardock, Trebarwith Strand and Polzeath where you can lounge on the sand before tackling the famous Cornish waves.

Brush up on the local history by visiting nearby Bodmin which houses a 18th century jail or the Grade II listed country house of Pencarrow.

Honeysuckle is a heart-warming base for those special occasions with your loved ones.

Bodmin 7 miles; Lostwithiel 14 miles; Padstow 17 miles; St Austell 20 miles.

St Breward is a small village set amongst beautiful countryside in Cornwall, about 7 miles from Bodmin. The village offers all the amenities you will require during your stay with a shop, village hall, church, two playgrounds and a pub. A footpath in the village creates a nice circular loop past the holy well, the church and across the River Camel. Nearby, you can also enjoy the Camel Trail which is popular with both walkers and cyclists and winds its way through the town Wadebridge on its journey to the sea at Padstow. On the edge of the town is the fascinating museum and haunting presence of the old Bodmin Jail, which was built from granite excavated from this very quarry back in 1840. Close by are the open spaces and wind swept grandeur of Bodmin Moor while the incomparable Eden Project (11 miles), Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum (30 miles) and the beautiful harbour town of Padstow with its famous pubs and restaurants (16 miles) make for great days out. There is a good choice of country pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area.
