  • "We had a wonderful stay."

So clean and comfortable. Unsure if hot tub was maintained daily as on listing. Say this because we didn’t see anyone & couldn’t fit cover properly (our fault) and it remained the same throughout our stay??. Apart from this, what a lovely home from home. Many thanks from Maggie

Hot-tub fabulous and well-maintained. Clean and tidy accommodation with plenty of kitchen equipment. Shame about the restrictions on times for using the Park's swimming pool and gym though and gym is only for over-18s. Postcode incorrect on Sykes details.

  • "The lodge was extremely comfortable and had every utensil required in the kitchen."

It was very clean and well looked after. The only downside to the facilities was the water temperatures in the hot tub and the ensuite shower attached to the double bedroom. The hot tub water temperature was either too cold or too hot to use it most of the time. The temperature ranged from 23 degrees to scolding hot at 41/42 degrees and could have caused serious injury to a child if they entered before the parent checked. It needs some IMMEDIATE ATTENTION from a qualified engineer The water in the en-suite shower was also too hot to stand under and adding cold water from the tap just made it go far too cold to use. We were very disappointed that we hardly used the hot tub because this was one of the main reasons we booked this lodge. Some blackout blinds are required in the bedrooms to block out the external site lights. We would go back to the lodge again if we were given assurances that the water temperatures had been rectified.

We are having new ground floor decking and 1st floor balcony fitted, a new hot tub will be installed this month. We supply our contact details to all guests via email before they arrive and will always respond if contacted to put things right at the time. Property Owner

Good location for a central base to travel around. Don't rely on the local swimming pool for entertainment as it is very small and shallow but the property has a hot tub that is deeper. Everything you need and friendly contact if you need anything else.

  • "We had a lovely stay at your property, total rest and relaxation."

I marked down on cleanliness as the pans, trays and cutlery we had to wash before we could use them, the rest of the lodge was immaculate. I also marked down on comfort due to the beds not being comfortable. A couple of issues with the hot tub so we contacted the owners and maintenance came the same day. Overall I would recommend this property. Than you for a lovely stay.

  • "Wow what a find!"

We’re only from Plymouth but this little gem at St Ann’s Chapel is wonderful. We stayed at No19 for a week with 5 adults and a child (aged 7). It’s one of only a few with a hot tub and is beautifully decorated for a calm feel. The blankets were soft and cosy and the outside table and chairs are comfy for the balcony. What a view too! The sofas are very comfy with plenty of cushions and seats for us all. The kitchen has all of the amenities that you need (we found bowls and bits in the dishwasher) - it was all there! We took tea towels, kitchen roll and tin foil as these bits always help on a holiday. There was tea towels there, dishwasher tabs and liquid. There was sugar and coffee sachets and a fridge with a box freezer which was helpful. There is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All of the beds are comfy. The double bed was so cosy with extra blankets, a mattress topper and extra pillows. Plenty of space for hanging clothes and drawers for folded clothes if needed. En suite had a bath and shower (bit fiddly to get nice temp water - but part of the fun). Both bathrooms had radiators to warm your towels and both were spotlessly clean. There was clear instructions for the hot tub and water and phone numbers in case of issues (not needed). The site has parking near to the lodge, and there are a few steps to go up and down to access the property but all have bannisters. The site has a pool, bar, restaurant and an emergency holiday shop (milk, crisps, bread, pool noodle). Excellent facilities and a wonderful lodge. Thank you.

  • "The lodge was really nice, the only let down was the parking."

4 nights in a row I got back after a day out to find all the parking spaces gone. But not to people on our lot, anyone on the park. I have severe breathing difficulties plus a 12 month old baby and had to park in someone else parking spot 300 meters away at the bottom of the hill. Why this park doesn't just put lodge numbers on the car park I have no idea. Also, depending on which lodge you choose, there is no provision made for people with wheelchairs. Which ours wasn't. My only two gripes. The rest of the stay was excellent.

  • "Lovely stay at the lodge on Honicombe Park."

We stayed there for a week at the end of August , five of us and our small dog. Lodge very well equipped, bedding and towels provided, good parking, very close to the pool, games room etc. Huge bonus having the Hot Tub which was maintained every day we were there. At one point we had a problem with the hot tub and from texting the owner and the maintenance man coming to sort the issue it was all fixed within 20 minutes, fantastic response! In places the lodge could do with a bit of tlc but overall a lovely place. The park the lodge is on is perfect for a family holiday, very quiet, with a bar serving great food, indoor and outdoor pool, games room and play parks. The only downside is you have to drive everywhere off the park, no where is walking distance.
