"We were a group of 5 adults 2 with severe learning disabilities one of which had cerebral palsy and epilepsy."
The accommodation was perfect having the 3 bedrooms on the ground floor with the bathroom and toilet and the added bonus of another toilet with shower also on the ground floor. The 4th bedroom was on the first floor which gave my support carers privacy. Tbe open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge was spacious and bright with the added bonus of a balcony with views. We didn’t have children but if you do you could see the play park from your kitchen and lounge window. We felt totally at home and it was a quiet and peaceful setting. Everything you needed was there to guarantee a comfortable stay. We have a very high standard and we were happy with what we found. We cleaned through thoroughly before leaving it would only of needed fresh towels and linen to be ready for the next guests that would hopefully enjoy and appreciate this property. Thank you very much
Maria thank you so much for the stunning review. I'm very pleased to say you would be welcome back anytime. Property Owner
"There was a damp smell to the property."
The carpet in the hallway needs replacing due to a previous leak from the bathroom. I would definitely visit this sight again just unfortunately not this property.
"Check in time was pushed back from when I originally booked to allow for extensive covid cleaning."
When we arrived there was chocolate on the floor by sofa (not a dogs friend) sweets tipped out on the floor of the cupboard a box of condoms in 1 bedroom and after eight mint wrappers down the side of a bed. Table had sticky marks on and the fireplace heater had something on it too so definitely not been extra cleaned. The toilet seat was broke, 2 of radiators were hanging of the wall the clothes airer was broken and the shower was leaking out on to hallway wall and carpet making it smell damp. It's advertised as off road parking for 2 cars we struggled to park the one car! The site itself was nice the kids enjoyed the pool, tennis and games room and the food was really nice in the restaurant and all the staff was friendly and helpful

Our stay at 25 Tamar Cottage, was slightly spoilt when no vegetable knife was available, so we had to purchase one, but my main concern was because of Covid 19, my sons bed did not have a protective mattress cover and there were none on the pillows in any of the rooms,

When we opened the property it smelt of curry so we opened every window and sprayed air freshner one of single beds was very squeaky and we felt the property needed updating all the recreational areas outside looked shabby the whole holiday park needs to be updated but we couldn't fault the staff they were so friendly

For a cottage that sleeps 8 the bathrooms are tiny and nowhere to put anything even hooks on the doors would be a start could do with new curtains at all the windows
"Foot path leading to cottage is muddy."
Would have preferred complimentary toiletries
Thank you for your feedback. We hope you enjoyed your stay at 25 Tamar Cottage. We're sorry that the path was muddy on arrival. It may be helpful to explain that the grounds of the park are managed by the on-site management team, so the owner has no influence over the upkeep of this area. However, she will of course feed this back to their management team. Please note that whilst the owner does provide some complimentary items, such as toilet paper, toiletries are not included due to the accommodation being self-catering. "The bathrooms were so small no room to move."
There was no heating in the.m and nowhere to hang a towel or dressing gown. Nowhere to put anything really. Not even coat hook. Seriously cold in them. You should say it's not suitable for disabled people. You advertised the bedrooms being on two floors but both bathrooms were ground floor next to each other. Created terrible problems on the stairs.
Thank you for your comments. We’re sorry to hear that you felt the bathrooms were too small. Unfortunately the owner is not able to extend this space but we do feel the photographs on the website accurately reflects the size of the space. Although we can never 100% guarantee that our properties will be suitable individuals with disabilities, we are happy to pose any questions to our property owner so that we can accommodate our guest’s needs. "It was quite wet week and The pool, games room and gym where great."
Loved the bar area for meals and quiz night etc. My 8yr old to my 67 yr old all very happy. Problem with bulb but they came out and sorted it from reception. Staff all helpful and great base to explore from. Down side very small bathrooms with tiny basins but ok for a holiday.
