  • "A wonderful rental in a great location."

Very clean and tidy and full of ever you could need for a holiday. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. The two bathrooms a bonus and the selection of books, games and dvd’s catered for a rainy day.

  • "The lodge was wonderfully clean and comfortable and had everything we needed."

All the beds were very comfortable; we all slept well. Heating worked well and kept us warm for early November. Internet was good, managed to watch Netflix/Disney without any problems. The staff at Honicombe were very helpful. Most evenings we choose to eat at the on-site pub - lovely choice on the menu, delicious food and dogs allowed too. Great walks at National Trust Cotehele and Lydford Gorge.

  • "Lovely quiet site, we had the pools almost to ourselves which was wonderful."

made a change from the coast and plenty to do. accomodation ( no. 13 brookview). was very clean and well equipped. beds +++++ comfy with decent cotton bedding. close to cotehele, donkey sanctuary, tavistock and not too far from eden project. staff on site very polite and friendly. we just wanted a quiet break without crowds of people and this was perfect. the only odd thing was that despite being in a wooded area with a stream we saw or heard absolutely no birds! found that very strange.

  • "Brookview Cottage and Honicombe Holiday park absolutely delivered on what they offered."

The lodge was wonderfully clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, down to kitchen roll, foil etc made everything so much easier. They even left little packets of sweets on the bed at arrival - it wasn’t just the children who enjoyed them! The folk at Honicombe answered questions promptly and couldn’t have been more accommodating Equally the staff at Sykes were just as helpful After a long lockdown with two children desperate to get back to Cornwall the combined effort of all these people made their dreams come true. It was only a short break and there’s so much more we would have liked to explore at the park, the children can’t wait to go back. Thank you all very much.

  • "Disappointed a little with on site club house, part from Friday , little for children in the evenings."

Chalet really well equipped, just found downstairs felt damp, all our clothes, appeared damp to touch, difficult to get a parking space near to chalet, although details highlight one parking space. Other wise accommodation exceeded our expectations.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us, the owners are delighted that the accommodation exceeded your expectations. We are really sorry to hear that the club did not meet your expectations, the club does offers a childrens' disco, bingo, archery, axe throwing, karaoke, a family Quiz plus other entertainment. About the location

CALLINGTON

Tavistock 9 miles; Launceston 11.5 miles; Plymouth 14.6 miles.

Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are fabulous views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound. Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and offers a good selection of shops, inns and cafes, as well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties. A few miles away, the quaint village of Calstock clings to the steep banks of the river Tamar and is dominated by the splendid Calstock Railway Viaduct, a giant 11-arched stone construction supporting one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines running through the Tamar Valley. Other interesting places along the river are Cotehele, a beautiful historic house and gardens owned by the National Trust with a small quay and inn, and Morwhellam Quay, a theme park that staged a living history production for the BBC and where visitors can explore the rich mining heritage and watch blacksmiths, potters and craftsmen at work. The pannier market town of Tavistock is only nine miles from Callington and is well worth a visit on your way to a day’s walk on Dartmoor. A splendid base to explore south Cornwall and West Devon.
