  • "Great cottage."

Lots of facilities. Nice and cosy and liked the privacy of the hot tub. Little welcome basket was a lovely added touch! Fantastic!

  • "The property had mould on ceilings in the main bedroom and an suite."

We foumd cobwebs on ceilings uptstairs . There were no fresh toilet rolls left only part rolls with a few sheets left. Child's hand prints on the doors from the lounge to the decking hadn't been cleaned. The welcome pack was a nice touch and the lodge itself was lovely. But the cleaning seriously let it down. The Lodge sleeps 8 but there's only 1 car park space.

  • "Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely consider booking again."

There were a couple of things that could have been improved on... 1. The XBox that was included in the price didn't work at all (other than the noisy fan). We asked at reception twice for someone to take a look but no one did in the week we were there. This disappointed the kids a bit. 2. A couple of the chairs on the balcony had broken arms but we still had enough to use as a family. However, the swimming pool, tennis courts and hot tub were amazing and the lodge was very well kitted out. The arrival hamper was a real treat! Thank you.

Glad that you enjoyed your stay, we have replaced all the chairs on the balcony with new aluminum chairs. The X Box has been removed due to Covid-19 as have the other games and puzzles in line with guidance issued. Mr White September 19Thank you for the feedback, We have improved access to the Hot tub by creating a decked path and removing a section of wall around the patio. Property Owner

  • "Nice cottage plenty of room, access to the hot tub could be better although the hot tub itself was very good and relaxing."

The site was clean and tidy and ideal for walking the dog. The general location is quite and some distance from the major holiday hotspots.

  • "The inside of the cottage is clean with plenty of room, the only downside with the inside is that because the bedrooms are downstairs you can hear people walking about upstairs and the floor creaks quite badly."

The Mattresses on the beds are very soft, more like a blown up lilos, so not very comfortable. The outside was a massive disappointment, the grass was about 5 inches long all around the cottage, we didn't use the hot tub because the area around it wasn't great, overgrown dead plants in the wall, and the seat built into the wall had green algae all over it. To get the lid off it, you had to walk in the long grass after it had rained, all seemed to much bother, then someone came and, strimmed the long grass in the pouring rain, and grass cuttings was left all over the pathway, that then you trod into the cottage. The site has a pub that is dog friendly and serves really good food, and was handing out dog treats to the dogs as you arrived, lovely staff very helpful.

We are sorry that the exterior of the lodge wasn't up to your expectations, we have taken measures to make improvements. The flower beds have been tidied up, we have improved access to the Hot tub by creating a decked path and removing a section of wall around the patio. We now cut the grass ourselves (weather permitting) as well as the park staff so we can keep it at abetter length. • "Enjoyed our stay at this cottage providing plenty of room for both of our families."

The veranda was in need of varnish as coating was cracked and shabby looking. There were numerous cobwebs in the outdoor seating area and obviously hadn't been cleaned. The freezer contained several unwanted items when we arrived and hadn't been defrosted for weeks. Children were disappointed there was no Karaoke machine (as advertised) and although there was accommodation for eight, there were three teaspoons. Other than these minor annoyances, we were happy with the accommodation together with items / facilities provided, including the fact that the hot tub was serviced every few days. Our major annoyance about this holiday, and not anything that the owners could control, was the fact that the on-site bar / restaurant was closed weekdays until 5pm. When I holiday on a site like this one, and the children want to have a day on-site using the swimming pool(s) etc., a bar lunch is something that should be available, especially in July. I therefore decided not to frequent the aforesaid bar / restaurant for the entire holiday and enjoyed the cottage veranda or eating off-site instead. This would stop me staying at this site ever again.

  • "Hideaway was somewhat a disappointment the windows were dirty the welcome pack should have had a few fresh items such as milk and maybe a few food items like tea coffee not wine and dog chews the land at the back of the property was a bit grubby too its a shame really as most of the interior isn’t too bad ."

ps not happy with the after effects of the hot tub but thats another story.

  • "A really delightful cottage."

The only one in the park that had real privacy for the hot tub. For the two of us and our dog it was perfect, although for larger groups of more than 4 I think it would be a bit cramped. When they say dog friendly, they mean it. There were bowls and towels and two large dog beds, as well as a little treat in the welcome hamper (which was a nice touch in itself - thank you). Location was great, with good access to lots of tourist attractions, especially if you like views, flowers and nice walks. The pub on site was very dog friendly and the bar staff were fantastic. All in all we had an amazing visit and will almost certainly be back at some point.
