They helped to sort out the problem we had with our booking which went wrong because of the owners situation. They found suitable alternative accommodation within hours. The only downfall was that the email with address and key collection details didn't come through automatically, I had to wait until 9:00 am on the day we were due to leave to call and find out this information. the email eventually came through on the Sunday. However we were extremely pleased with the alternative accommodation, although there is an issue with the water. On the Sunday we woke up to no water, having phoned CR they got onto the issue immediately and checked throughout the day it was sorted, thank you. The water came through with dirty rusty water at first which had to be run off before use for the whole of the week. Something that was workable. Thank you for your help. Lesley Williams

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback following your recent stay at Molly's Folly. We have spoken to the owner who has apologised there was an issue with the water during your stay, the site is on bore hole water and it was highlighted that a filter had blocked which meant the water could not get through on Sunday morning, the incident was, I understand remedied within an hour. We were not made aware of any other issues with the water throughout the duration of your stay and there were no reports from any of the other lodges. Despite the issues mentioned we hope you enjoyed your stay. - Sykes owner relations

About the location

Tavistock 9 miles; Launceston 11.5 miles.

Callington is a Cornish market town, rich in mining heritage and overlooked by Kit Hill, the highest point in the area, donated to the people of Cornwall by Prince Charles to celebrate the birth of Prince William. From the top of Kit Hill there are fabulous views across south-east Cornwall as far as Plymouth Sound. Callington is set in the heart of the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and offers a good selection of shops, inns and cafes, as well as being the home of Ginsters Cornish pasties. A few miles away, the quaint village of Calstock clings to the steep banks of the river Tamar and is dominated by the splendid Calstock Railway Viaduct, a giant 11-arched stone construction supporting one of Britain’s most picturesque branch lines running through the Tamar Valley. Other interesting places along the river are Cotehele, a beautiful historic house and gardens owned by the National Trust with a small quay and inn, and Morwhellam Quay, a theme park that staged a living history production for the BBC and where visitors can explore the rich mining heritage and watch blacksmiths, potters and craftsmen at work. The pannier market town of Tavistock is only nine miles from Callington and is well worth a visit on your way to a day’s walk on Dartmoor. A splendid base to explore south Cornwall and West Devon.
