  • "The bottle of wine left in the fridge was a nice touch, the bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well equipped."

    Overall I felt the flat was in need of some TLC in particular the shower fitting was very loose and water leaked from under the shower tray when used . Some items in the kitchen particularly the glasses were slightly grubby and I washed them before use ,overall we enjoyed our stay but just wanted to let you know of the above.

  • "Was a lovely flat."

    Easy to find. Parking directly outside the front door, which is ideal for me as I have limited mobility. The key safe was a bit difficult to open but we managed it so no worries. Everything worked well & the instructions of what to do with rubbish & recycling were clear. We didn’t need instructions on how to work anything as nothing was complicated & pretty much universal so didn’t need any! Everything looked as it did in the photos so no surprises! I would happily stay here again & recommend the flat to others. Thank you.

  • "We can highly recommend Flat 1 Marina Court, Portreath."

    The flat is in good decorative order, well maintained and spotlessly clean with absolutely everything you need plus more. There was even a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge to welcome us plus ice made up ready in the freezer which we thought was a lovely touch. There was a welcome note with suggestions of things to do and clear instructions for rubbish/recycling etc and how to leave the flat at the end of our stay. Easy to use appliances, great shower and comfortable furniture. Great to have parking right outside too. Conveniently situated to either pop down into Portreath by car or on foot, or to jump in the car to go off exploring elsewhere. We also enjoyed walking some of the mining trail that starts a few yards from the door. We would definitely rebook if we visit Portreath again.

  • "I’ve stayed at many holiday cottages over the yrs and I’m sorry but this one needs a lot of work done to it to bring it up to standard ."

    It needs a deep clean , decorating to a better finish , general maintenance ie bathroom door needs fixing . There was no information about how to use any appliances/ rubbish removal/recycling . It needs maybe a corner sofa instead of 2 chairs which after a while we’re uncomfortable. The outside bench needs replacing as was very unstable also needed a clean up outside .

    Sorry to hear the disappointment about your stay. The flat is steam cleaned after visit, so I will check up on this. Info about rubbish recycling is on a leaflet in the kitchen drawer. Perhaps this needs to be left in a prominent position. The recliner chairs and footstools are new and only used once prior to your stay. We use the same in another property and they are very popular with guests, which is the reason we chose to use them again in the flat. The recliners and footstools are very clearly portrayed in the photos used by the holiday company. The door to the shower room was in working order and is so again. May I repeat that everything is new, carpets, dishwasher, fridge freezer, furniture, shower in May of this year. Property Owner

PORTREATH

Truro 14 miles; St Ives 15 miles.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives.
