  • "Loved the cottage."

Very well appointed and so quiet {no one in larger house} Too warm to make full use of log burner! Heated towel rail not working but fixed same day. We were aware road was poor but we have a 4x4 so thought it would be ok. Surprised by how wearing it was driving along there 2 or 3 times a day. Might unfortunately put us off booking again. Stella

  • "The property was accurately described, well appointed and lovely."

Unfortunately the people staying in the adjacent property were noisy and just not very considerate. We found that the outside area lacked privacy due to the other occupants using it as a throrougfare at times.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed the property. We are sorry to hear of the issues you encountered during your stay, had we been made aware at the time, we would have done all we could to rectify and sort things for you. We do hope that this would not deter you from returning to property at another time. Property Owner

  • "Very unhappy at being left with no Wi-Fi for a whole week ."

I was unable to work or coordinate family events globally . There was. O attempted to get the internet working . I had to suggest that I used the neighbours internet which didn’t work . 4 emails and no reply to any of them . No follow up after the initial complaint . Unsatisfactory . It’s unreasonable to expect guests to be without internet for a week ….. very dissatisfied

We are very sorry that you were without internet. This was due to an issue with BT who were working in the local area to try and rectify it and beyond our control. We do apologise for any inconvenience that may have been caused. We had a mini hub in the main house which should have extended the WiFi. Property Owner

  • "The property was wonderful and so peaceful, especially as there was no one in the larger house."

We had a few issues: no barbecue when we arrived, door handle not working, locking us out one morning, but these were quickly sorted. The main issue was a lack of internet which I think was an ongoing problem but could be disastrous for some.

Thank you for taking the time to send in your feedback. We are so glad you had an enjoyable stay and enjoyed both the property and its peaceful location. The issue with the WiFi was with BT and they were working in the surrounding area, so it was out of our control. We very much hope that you might consider a return visit to the property. Our only concern was that the garden was not fully secure as it rose to a different level and our dog could have jumped down from the ‘field’ ., so we had to walk her outside on a lead .

  • "Lovely cottage."

Will return. I’d just keep on top of the cleaning company as there were some things we noted. Hoover not working A lot of thick dust under the bed, under the chairs, behind chairs, so looks like cleaners not doing a deep enough clean. Food in freezer of fridge on arrival. Glasses not washed properly as cloudy and marked. No Hob instructions Our actual stay in the cottage was lovely. We love the property. Love the interior design. Comfortable bed. Private. Best of all is the area for our dogs to play in and to sit on patio and enjoy the sun and the peacefulness. The stairs in the cottage are steep but as long as you don’t have mobility issues it’s fine. The location was perfect for travelling everyday to find new exciting places to visit. Beautiful beaches all fairly near. Great pub with super food, Punchbowl and Ladel only 2.5 mikes away . Thank you we will be back.

  • "Gorgeous place to stay and relax."

The cottage was spotless and the cream tea was very welcome after a long drive. We would thoroughly recommend. The cottage had everything we needed although a hose would be a good idea to wash sandy feet ( and dog!!) before going indoors! Thankyou we feel refreshed and relaxed after our stay

  • "Beautiful property set in the countryside which suited our needs exactly."

We’ve booked to go back the same time next year as there is still plenty to do and see in the area. That probably sums it up . . . .

  • "We found Little Chygowlin a beautiful small cottage set in lovely grounds."

It was very peaceful and a great place to relax. It is very comfortable and well equipped with everything needed. The cream tea left for us on arrival is a really nice touch. Its location made it easy to visit several different places and attractions in Cornwall without having to travel too far. We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family.

  • "We were very impressed with this cottage and gardens, the pictures don’t do it justice."

Very quiet location which was fabulous and it had everything we needed and wanted. Would definitely recommend this cottage the only downside was the very uneven private road leading to the cottage.

  • "Gorgeous little cottage, in splendid isolation, down a track about a mile long."

Does share gardens with a bigger holiday cottage, but on this occasion, we were on our own. Steps, down to the bedroom and bathroom, are quite steep and would pose difficulty to anyone with a mobility issue. TV has a reception issue with any BBC channel but then we spent a lot of time out and so, as far as we were concerned, wasn't an issue. Finally, we did have a painter & decorator, on site, while we were here. Apparently we should have been informed of this by the letting agents but we didn't receive any such email. However we didn't have an issue with him being on site as we spent most of our time, out. The gentleman, infact, was an invaluable source of local information and we got on with him very well, I think he appreciated that we let him get on as he's been trying to decorate this property for a while but some of the clients have been less inclined to allow him on site.

  • "This is a very comfortable and well equipped cottage, cosy and warm."

Although adjoined to the main house it is not apparent that the bathroom and bedroom can be easily overlooked from people going to the house and from their windows. May we suggest that a tray/box be available as you enter for muddy/wet boots etc. Please provide water glasses the size suitable for G&T / fruit juice etc. The access track from the road has an atrocious surface with many deep pot holes and loose rubble.

Many thanks for completing your feedback, both the bedroom and bathroom have wooden shutters which can be closed when required. The owner will look to provide some larger glasses. It is made clear on the website that the access road is an unmade lane and not suitable for all cars. Property Owner

  • "Lovely welcome with flowers and cream tea."

Cottage was very clean and well equipped, heating and hot water in abundance, The bathroom was very luxurious and bed very comfortable. A few minor niggles. Could do with some hooks to hang outside coats, especially if wet. Wifi password was incorrect for network available, left message about this with Michelle but no response, fortunately 4G coverage was good enough so didn't pursue. A more comfortable sofa with addition of a coffee table would be good. Surprised to find cottage was a wing of the larger house, and garden was beautiful and spacious but shared. Would recommend the property except for the access road. We were warned that lowered vehicles would have a problem, but only a tractor could drive down it effectively. Suggest the owners experience the numerous giant potholes for a week and see how they feel.

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found the property to be well equipped and very comfortable. Thank you for bringing these points to our attention. We have now added the WiFi code to the key collection details, for convenience, and we can also confirm that a new sofa is being purchased. In reference to the access road mentioned, as stated on the website details, the property is accessed via an unmade lane and may not be suitable for low slung vehicles. Caution and care is best taken, as in most rural areas. Property Owner

  • "This cottage was exactly what we were looking for and was described in the listing very accurately."

It was quiet peaceful and above all very private but within easy reach of all local amenities and attractions. On arrival the accommodation was spotlessly clean and extremely well presented with every imaginable appliance/gadget available to ensure a comfortable stay. The quality of furnishings and fittings were of a very high standard with an exceptionally comfortable bed and superbly appointed bathroom again with very high quality fittings. A log burner with all the necessary equipment was, once mastered, a very cosy addition on chilly evenings although the whole property benefitted from underfloor heating which was very efficient. The cottage also benefits from extensive outside gardens and paddock for our dog. Fresh flowers with scones/cream and jam was a nice welcoming touch as was milk tea and coffee etc. This property was perfect in our opinion and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it for a wonderful quiet and peaceful break, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only other comment (not a criticism) would be to provide a folder with instructions on certain equipment within the property ie log burner, heating system and heated towel rail. Also to include the location of local amenities ie pubs restaurants and shops and also the wifi password. Overall a very satisfied customer.
