  • "Very comfortable with all mod cons !"

Parking right outside the property for at least Three cars , disabled facilities are excellent with wheelchair access all round inside and out ! A Dogs paradise with so many places for walkies without a lead ! A tip , do a food shop on line before you go down and get it delivered on day of arrival after 5 p.m. , you have to give further instructions for delivery in a box , unless you want to shop every couple of days ,ugh ! Take toilet rolls (1 supplied) , Bleach for Kitchen sink and toilets just to keep them fresh ! Yes I would give this property a 5 star rating , what I've written in this feedback is more in depth information for guests rather than the owner , enjoy !!

  • "We have been coming to the lodges over several years and there is always a warm welcome from Michelle."

We like the position and quietness of The Killiow Estate and the cabins are always spotlessly clean and extremely well managed by Michelle where nothing is a bother in order to make you comfortable. I am not sure the lodges would be the same without that attention to detail which gives a “ home from home” feel. The service provided by Michelle and her team allows you to overlook a few flaws that are obviously there…(uncomfortable overcrowded sofas, squeaky floorboards and bed).

Very quiet and private with lots of grounds to walk dogs. Beautiful countryside and not far into Truro or supermarkets. We had a fabulous time with days out to Newquay, Truro, Mevagissey Couldn’t fault the Lodge it was spacious with 3 Bedrooms and 3 shower rooms. Everyone enjoyed our stay in 2 lodges.

  • "We had a really enjoyable stay at the Killiow Lodges."

4 of us stayed and 1 child in the sleeps 6 Lodge. Michelle was very welcoming on arrival, nice touch of a bottle of milk and a welcome gift of short bread, fudge and tea. First impressions, it was exactly as we had seen on the photos. The lodge had all utensils etc for cooking but we were unable to locate a pair of kitchen scissors. Great layout, plenty of space in bedrooms for travel cot for our little one. Really good access for our little one who is disabled, with the parking right next to the lodge, ramp up to the lodge and all on one level. Short walk around the lodges and on to the old golf course was a nice stroll too. Very central for exploring the sights of Cornwall. Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Sainsburys all a very short drive away. If using Google maps, use The Kea Church hall to get you back, seemed to work for us. Some places we would recommend *Cousin Jack's fish and chips (Truro) *Cherry Blossom cafe (Padstow) *The Ranch (steak and grill) Falmouth *The County Arms (Truro)

  • "We had a fabulous stay here!"

The lodge was fantastic - it was bigger than expected, very clean, and the facilities were top-notch. We especially enjoyed having our own robes which were provided! The location of the lodge was also brilliant - we were close to many places in Cornwall. The lodge itself was on a very peaceful site which was lovely. Michelle was also brilliant! Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

Comfortable beds and settees and bonus having a TV in each bedroom. The setting was lovely, quite rural but only a few minutes from Truro. Michelle made sure everything was ok. We've stayed all over Cornwall and this was the best.

  • "We stayed with just the two (49 and 50 years) of us and two large dogs (6 and 9 years), for one week in May 2022 at Oak."

From the start till the end it was a great and perfect stay. What a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are light and large. There are three bedrooms, two with ensuite and one with a seperate bathroom. The living is openplanned with the kitchen and has beautiful views. There are smart TV’s, oven, coffeemaker, mircowave, washer and a dryer (very easy). Michelle is a wonderfull operational manager, such a lovely person. The grounds are perfect for walking the dogs, we used the path just across the cabins (the old golf course) and that walk is a mile to the gate. Super for the morning/ last evening walk. Truro is very close, perfect for shopping. Easy acces for daytrips to the east- or westside seashores. We and our dogs loved staying at Oak on the estate of Killiow. Michelle, Thank you very much for everything and see you next time! Greetings from the Netherlands.

  • "We had a lovely weeks stay in oak lodge."

The lodge was spotlessly clean and smelt nice and fresh as you walked through the door, even a chair for the wet room shower was provided by Michelle for my wife as she is disabled. The lodges are placed a good distance apart from each other so you are not directly overlooked by your neighbour. The lodges are in a rural area surrounded by fields and being away from main roads are nice and quiet.

  • "It's lovely & quiet, beds amazing & very clean We had a 6+ hour journey, I think checking in at 5 is too late especially when you expect guests to check out at 10!"

The Oak was lovely BUT the floor throughout the property was so noisy you couldn't move about quietly and by the end of the week it was very annoying The fire wood was supplied but with nothing to light it with The seating was ok for four people but definitely not for 6

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback. The floors in the lodges are all solid oak floorboards and every effort has been made to make them as quiet as possible to walk on. We provide two UK made 3-seater sofas for our guests to enjoy, as well as 6 chairs at the dining room table. And due to our insurance, we are not allowed t provide matches to light the wood burner. All guests can always contact our housekeeper who would always be happy to help. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely gorgeous cabin, plenty space, clean and very comfortable."

The bedrooms are really good size with beds setup as superking, there is everything in the cabin from hairdryer, towels, bathrobes and an iron so you needn’t take any of that with you. . surroundings are stunning and the location is excellent as very central to everywhere.. love the little touch of welcome pack with tea, biscuits and fudge. Really nice idea. The only thing i would say is that as we were there in warm weather (July 21), the cabin gets super hot so sleeping is a bit of an issue even with windows open, no air coming in so fan would be good. Highly recommend staying here. We will return

Fantastic location with Falmouth, Perranporth and Newquay all being max 35 mins, and the lovely little Loe Beach only 8 minutes drive. Super close to Truro as well, so something for everyone.

  • "The lodge was lovely, modern throughout with en suite bedrooms for 2 rooms and one bedroom with a large shower nearby, the kitchen was fully equipped with all accessories including an Amazon Alexa!"

The lounge was bright and airy with patio doors leading out to a decking area, we sat here in the mornings enjoying our breakfast! Just a couple of gripes, the lodge should have been covid cleaned but there were cobwebs in every room and tops of picture frames and skirting boards hadnt been cleaned, under the beds were dusty too, i feel terrible at mentioning this as the lodge itself is beauriful but i run a small cleaning company and couldnt help seeing what hadnt been done, in my business we have to follow strict covid guidelines. But on the whole the holiday was beautiful with fantastic weather, please visit the 3 miles of beach near St Ives bay which the dogs absolutely loved, its recently been voted one of the best beaches in the UK! Port Isaac is lovely but gets really busy, Newquay is quite commercialised but of thats your thing then you'll love it!

Michelle was really friendly and helpful and answered all our questions, spending time to make sure everything was right for us. Shame about the golf course being closed but it did mean the children could roam further on the grounds and maybe in the future hot tubs on the balconies would be a great extra:) Would definitely recommend.
