  • "Lovely private, quiet location."

We were greeted by the friendly owners, who were on hand with advice on the local area. Once in the cottage we found some amazing warm scones, which were certainly the best scones we have tasted to date and we have had a few (baked by the owners) Although the cottage is small it felt spacious and had everything we needed as a family of four. Our dog loved the garden and we appreciated the patio on the warmer evenings. Great location to explore the area! Thank you for your warm hospitality!

  • "This has been the best holiday letting that we have ever had."

Brilliant cottage, lovely log fires, good kitchen equipment, and some very nice Christmas decorations making this cottage a perfect setting for Christmas. Added to that, a really good secure garden for our two dogs to be safe in when they weren't curled up inside the cottage. The owners, Debs and Ross, were very welcoming, leaving us some excellent homemade scones amongst other seasonal goodies.

  • "Today is the last day of our holibobs with the doggies, the cottage we stayed at is owned by Debra Pike and her hubby lovely warm and friendly people."

The cottage itself is very big cottage and very clean with all the mod cons you could wish for.The garden and decking area is lovely and with it being a secured garden the dogs could come and go as they please. Being quite central to the main points in Cornwall it's easy to get to places, the beaches are beautiful and dog friendly and with the the choices of supermarkets which are huge. Despite the weather being not that great we still went out everyday with the dogs and in the evenings just settled down with a few glasses of wine with the wood burner going ,it was a lovely relaxing holiday . we would definitely come me back again and for those who have dogs it's just great .

We arrived to find a delicious cream tea waiting for us after our journey which was a perfect way to start our holiday in this beautiful part of Cornwall. We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in this spotlessly clean cottage which had everything we could possibly need for a perfect holiday including a. lovely comfy bed and ample room to relax in the charming beamed lounge. Debra and Ross were perfect hosts, ready with advice on places to visit and park, where to eat and things to see and do, but they were never intrusive. And if you are planning to take your family pet with you then they will definitely enjoy the lovely enclosed garden. We would certainly recommend Little Tregaddick. Robin and Ann Jones. ...a truly lovely cottage along with the most welcoming of hosts! The place was just perfect and the large enclosed garden was ideal for the dogs. We can't praise this place enough and is surely the best we have stayed in so far....freshly baked scones, clotted cream and jam upon arrival, vases of cut flowers, pint of milk and all the trimmings you could ask for! Close to many places of interest and handy for the camel trail but still a very quiet and tranquil setting (best of both worlds). We would definitely like to return to little treggadick when visiting the area again and highly recommend to others.

A real home from home! Debra and Ross were great hosts who were very welcoming and friendly. The cream tea left for us on arrival was such a lovely touch (and the best scones we had during our stay in Cornwall!). The lovely fully enclosed garden was great for our dogs too! The camel trail is very close and the pretty villages of Blisland, St Tudy and St Breward are all worth a visit. We highly recommend the St Tudy Inn for supper. All in all, it was a wonderful holiday and definitely a cottage we would like to return to.

The property

A semi-detached, characterful cottage resting near the charming village of Bilsland, in a wonderful region of Cornwall.

With a charming interior and a pretty garden outside, this cosy retreat is perfect for a family or friends looking to explore Bodmin and the surrounding area.

Nestled in the countryside, offering a feeling of serene tranquility.

The cottage is entered via a stone track road, where there is ample parking for two cars.

Head straight on into the sitting room, which boasts an L-shape sofa, stem wall lights, a beautiful beamed ceiling and an uplifting woodburner within the alcove of the room.

Take a book off the shelf and enjoy a quiet read, or simply use this space to gather your thoughts, overlooking the pretty garden outside.

Meander through to the farmhouse kitchen, comprising a breakfast island, modern fittings and a dining area placed in the corner of the room, with patio doors leading to the garden.

A set of stairs lead to the first floor landing, stemming off to a lovely collection of bedrooms; the twin is very bright and airy with plenty of storage space, whilst the double room boasts a king-size bed and overlooks the garden.

The large bathroom offers thoughtful details, vibrant coloured tiles on the walls and a set of helpful fixtures.

To the exterior, the patio allows you to enjoy the peaceful setting enveloping the enclosed space, whilst the dogs can run around with the kids safely.

There is also access to a shed should you wish to bring along bikes or surf boards.

The moorland village of Blisland is less than 2 miles away, where the local pub, The Blisland Inn, has won many awards for its famous ales.

The village also offers a community shop, village green and church, and is just a few minutes' walk from The Camel Trail.

Take the opportunity to walk or cycle 17 miles along the old railway line eventually stopping in Padstow, a chocolate-box seaside town boasting an assortment of amenities to indulge in once you arrive.

For those who like fly fishing there is the Temple fishery less than eight miles from the cottage, and the A30 is within 3 miles, enabling easy access to all of Cornwall.

This fabulous retreat is to be enjoyed the year-round.

About the location

Bodmin 5.7 miles; Wadebridge 8.4 miles; Polzeath 13.2 miles; Tintagel 13.8 miles; Padstow 16 miles; Fowey 17.2 miles.

Situated under the western edge of granite-bound Bodmin Moor, the village of Blisland retains its age old character and is the only village in Cornwall to have a village green with trees. Around the green, cluster old houses and cottages, as well as the famous, award-winning Blisland Inn. The village is located less than three miles from the A30, and so provides an ideal central location for touring Cornwall. Nearby, Poley’s Bridge marks the beginning of the Camel Trail, a 17-mile long route, which follows a long disused old steam engine railway line to Padstow. The route is completely traffic-free and perfect for walkers and cyclists. You can even explore the trail on horseback and a purpose-built hide has been constructed between Wadebridge and Padstow, so even birdwatchers are catered for! Pull on your walking boots and explore Bodmin Moor, or venture to the coast with your buckets and spades and enjoy a day on one of the many beautiful beaches that stretch along Cornwall’s northern coastline. A fabulous part of the country for all!
