  • "Comfortable, clean, well appointed and characterful cottage."

Nice to have the log burner on in the evening to add that little bit of warmth and ambiance. Hosts/owners were extremely welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Lovely quiet setting, central to Cornwall's attractions.

  • "A really lovely and well equipped, cottage with good access to both the North and South coasts of Cornwall, giving lots of options whatever the weather."

Owners were lovely with good recommendations. Comfy sofa and good bed made for a cosy week away in a lovely peaceful spot. The bath and log burner were a great treat when the weather turned stormy. There is also a pretty little garden and lovely balcony which would be great in nice weather. We'd definitely stay again.

Thanks for your nice review so pleased you enjoyed your stay always welcome to come again best wishes Barry and Viv Property Owner

About the location

ST DAY

Porthtowan 5 miles; Portreath 6 miles; Truro 7 miles; St Ives 20 miles; Falmouth 10 miles.

St Day was originally named after the little known Saint Day or Dye (better known in Brittany). The village now has a pub and convenience store, as well as a granite, gothic-style church dating back to 1828. Six miles away is the popular village of Portreath which attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese takeaway, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 7 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast to Gwithian and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
