  • "The cottage is a lovely cozy getaway for 2 people only 10 mins from Newquay and all the different beaches."

..the accommodation itself is really well finished with everything you need provided...we received a lovely cream tea and tea towel as a memento gift which is a lovely touch...the only slight detraction would be the mattress on the bed was starting to feel well used but that could just be us being used to a firmer one....but all in all we would definitely recommend a stay here...

I would not stay at this property again as the bed was very poor mattress and bed was bad springs sticking in back pillows very lumpy towels very small to dry yourself on radiator tap was of in bedroom so couldn't put it on when it was cold also bedroom window was steaming up from outside and flowers in bedroom window had got black mould growing on them, I personally think instead of complementary cream teas and free tea towel they should spend there money on a good bed and mattress for people to have a good night's sleep on, we went for a week in October for our 15 wedding anniversary and ended up only stay 2 night's came home early it was the worst night's sleep me and my wife's ever had,

  • "It was a great little holiday home which was very well equipped."

Whilst we were very comfortable there were a couple of minor things. #1 - The mattress was uncomfortable, it lacked support and you could feel springs. #2 - The pillows need replacing as very lumpy. #3 - The valve to the radiator in the bedroom is just balanced on the pipe and does not work #4 - the bedroom window needs a clean on the outside. A great view but it's through bird pooh, spider webs and ground dirt #4 - The host never checked all was okay at all. We saw the lady once when she was on the phone on the drive outside, where she could have smiled, waved or just acknowledged us. But choose to ignore us and turn the other way. These are just little things though, all in all it was very good, well equipped and very comfortable

We had booked for May 2024 and saw this week in July free so we thought we would check out the cottage. It was a complete pleasure from the outside look of the cottage to the wonderful Welcome Pack with cream teas, milk and biscuits as well as a lovely tea towel as a gift and a lovely welcome card. Little Prickle is immaculate inside with comfortable bed and furniture. We as I said had booked for May 2024 but the day after we returned home booked 2 weeks in October 2024. Thank you to the owners for everything.

We loved it. It was everything/had everything we needed to enjoy our holiday in Cornwall. The location is perfect for visiting Nequay daily- a beautiful location with an abundance of activities to do. It is also perfect for venturing to other scenic parts of Cornwall. The home comes with a few amenities, which Made our stay easier: tea, coffee and sugar; towels, washing line, WiFi, Netflix (used our own log-in), fridge with a small freezer at the top. We absolutely loved the convenience, location and simplicity of this holiday home. We would definitely recommend and will hopefully be back in the near future.

There was no windows only a sky light in the living room which felt claustrophobic. I Would suggest that they fit a blackout blind in the bedroom as there is currently only unlined curtains which make the room very light early in the morning. There was a lovely sitting area in the garden which was very private and when we arrived the owner had left milk, tea bags and coffee along with a box of fudge and a cream tea which was a lovely gesture.

Thank you so much for the review. We will take on board your suggestion, thank you :) Property Owner

The bathroom light switch if it could be turned on from inside the bathroom that would save disturbing your wife at night. The bed we found disappointing a bit small and a soft materes a new bed would really lift the property. A soap tray in the shower cubical. But overall we loved it and will be back.

Dave and Andrea were very welcoming, with a little gift of cream teas and Cornish fudge, a lovely little touch. The property, private garden area and parking facilities were superb. As my husband is slightly disabled this property gave us a very secure feeling as everything is on one level. The decor, furnishings were A1. We would highly recommend this cottage. The area was ideal. In the village of Quentrill Downs there was free parking in the village hall car park, a local Spar shop and a bus stop next door. Ideal if you are of the older generation with a free bus pass, and do not want to worry about driving at busy holiday times and not having to think about car parking in nearby towns.
