  • "We absolutely loved our stay."

The cabin was perfect for us, really well equipped and comfortable. It was lovely to have a beautiful view of the sea from the garden and the cabin and to hear the sea in the evenings. The location is excellent with the beach (which our dog particularly loved) , shops and cafes all on the doorstep. We also enjoyed an evening drink at the outdoor bar that cakebreads run. This place has a lovely community feel and the cabin was wonderful, we will definitely be back!

We had everything we needed amd with the shop / beach within a very short.walk, it was a great base to have some chilled time out. The garden had some very unusual and eclectic items.Always something new to see whilst having your morning coffe or late night sit out .lovely to hear the sea every night. Garden was secure once we moved 1 pot over a tad by gate.. Mind you we do have a beagle lol as she lives to escape .Thanks again steve and see you again .

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Moonbeach Cabin."

It was well equipped and clean .The owner (Steve) was helpful and always available by text for any queries. We made full use of the private comfy seating area for alfresco lunches. The area has everything you need for a pleasant stay although the fish and chip shop only opens at the weekend now the season is over but the well stocked village shop and PO is open every day. The Llawnroc Hotel served nice food, they also are open for morning coffee and is dog friendly it is only a few yards up the hill from Moonbeach. Would definitely recommend Moonbeach and Gorran Haven and the surrounding area. There are lovely walks along the coast path or you can just sit and admire the view. It is also worth knowing that there is a small bus that goes from the car park to the surrounding villages which also takes dogs.

  • "Gorran Haven is a hidden gem."

We had a lovely stay at Moonbeach Cabin. The Prosecco and doggy treats were a lovely touch thank you. Steve, the owner, recommended places to visit and eat which we really appreciated.. The photographs do not do the garden, views and outside seating area justice. The Cabin is ideally located for access to Gorran Haven, the beach and coastal path walks. We would highly recommend and intend on returning very soon.

Hope to see you all again, you would be very welcome . Steve. Property Owner

  • "Smashing little cottage just a stones throw from the sea."

Bed was comfy and warm as weather was a bit dodgy. Kitchen well equipped. Lounge was comfortable and free view on TV came in handy for evening entertainment. Bathroom spacious, shower good n hot and proper thick bath sheets!. Little secure yard so doggo could be let outside without concerns for a mooch. I did meet the owner x1 and was able to thank him in person for the welcoming bottle of Prosecco for me and treats for my hairy mate. We got a parking for the week at the closely located car park for £35. I am glad we did as the traffic warden made an unexpected visit!. Gorran Haven is a little gem and the beach is lovely, local shop is well stocked with baked goods and other foods including locally sourced veg, and the bar is very friendly. Used the chip shop although they did only open from Wednesday to Saturday. That was great and portions very generous. And this week bar shut around 5pm, hot food was also available there during the day. Hours do extend as season gets busier.

Lovely guests,a pleasure to have them stay. Property Owner

  • "Ideal for what I wanted as a single person with a dog visiting friends locally."

I do not think it is the cosy romantic hideaway described on the Sykes website. Location is great and this makes an ideal base eg for a walking holiday. A stable door or gate across the doorway would be useful. The kitchen is well equipped, particularly with a good sized fridge/freezer and plenty of hot water. The single biggest improvement would be a comfortable sofa to relax in - maybe a corner sofa - and a soft footstool.

In addition to the sofa there are also two ver comfortable reclining chairs Property Owner

  • "The two of us had a great four night stay at The Moonbeach Cabin."

The location is excellent, really close to the sea. The accommodation had all we want for a holiday - comfortable bed and chairs, good lighting for reading in the sitting area, well equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom (with lovely thick towels). Steve, the owner was friendly and helpful but unobtrusive. We would thoroughly recommend The Moonbeach Cabin.

    Very nice people. Property Owner

About the location

GORRAN HAVEN

Mevagissey 3 miles.

Once a crab fishing village, Gorran Haven on the south coast of Cornwall is ideally placed to explore the many beaches and coves in the area. Gorran Haven has a small sandy beach set behind a traditional sea wall, connecting with the longer Great Perhaver beach at low tide and is popular with families. Much of the coastline in this area is owned by the National Trust and is readily accessible from the South West Coast Path that passes through Gorran Haven. Within walking distance are a number of more isolated beaches and the 370 feet high Dodman Point, rising above Gorran, which is thought to be one of Cornwall’s most dramatic headlands, and the cause of many a shipwreck. From its gorse-covered heights there are views across Veryan Bay to the west and Vault Beach to the east. Alternatively, you may wish to walk the coastal path to the harbour village of Mevagissey. Near Gorran Haven, in a beautiful setting of woodland, stream and pasture, is Caerhays Castle, an informal 60-acre garden on the coast near Porthluney Cove. Nearby attractions are the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum and the cathedral town of Truro, with an excellent range of quality shopping and dining.
