The property

Picturesque countryside surrounds this beautiful converted barn which offers excellent accommodation in the tiny hamlet of Pancrasweek, near Holsworthy, in North Devon’s Ruby Country.

This is a fabulous location for a relaxing family escape.

Boasting an ‘upside down’ layout the open plan kitchen, dining and sitting areas are upstairs making the most of the lovely countryside views and you will find plenty of space here for the family to spread out with a wonderful kitchen, full of everything you need and a welcoming sitting area.

Cosy up in the evenings with the wood burning stove, perfectly warming for those chillier breaks or pop up the staircase to the lovely mezzanine area and curl up next to Laurel and Hardy with a good book.

Downstairs the three bedrooms are beautifully set out with pretty linens, giving a feeling of peace and quiet and the master bedroom benefits from an en-suite.

Step outside and enjoy al fresco dining or simply relax with a cool drink on the sunny patio.

You and your dogs are welcome to explore the 23 acres of the owners’ private woodlands, say hello to the shaggy Highland Cows and floppy-eared donkey’s en-route.

Ruby Country is a peaceful and quiet area of Devon and an absolute haven for wildlife.

For the energetic, there are a number of outdoor activities to enjoy nearby including horse-riding, sailing, kayaking, golf and some wonderful walks.

For the perfect day at the beach, take a trip to the sandy beaches of Bude or Widemouth Bay, a must for sun-worshippers and water-sport enthusiasts.

Sitting between the beautiful National Parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the market town of Holsworthy is nearby and will cater for all your supermarket needs.

A ramble across one of these Parks is highly recommended, find a hidden valley with a country inn for lunch or pack a picnic, but watch out for those greedy ponies!

An excellent family escape whether you need a change from the hustle and bustle of life or as a base to explore this amazing county.
