Lovely Cornish cream tea to welcome us and our Jack Russell loved the doggy treat! Ideal location for Bude and Widemouth bay, Tintagel. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Our 1st holiday in 17 years and it was beyond our expectations. Thank you. We will be back.

..really enjoyed our stay and central location to bude and other places of interest..Will hopefully rebook as we found the tranquility great....if we were being picky and this is not a major concern but a bigger more comfy 2 seater seatee would of added more comfort during the evenings...but we would highly recommend Primrose end

I only wish we could’ve stayed a little longer. It was far enough away from everything, so it was cozy, but only a small short drive away to get to somewhere interesting. 100% recommend

It was really well organised with everything we needed in the kitchen. The owner had left us a treat of scones with clotted cream and jam which we really enjoyed and was most thoughtful. We closed the door to the cottage and both felt we could return again. Thank you

  • "We arrived when it was dark and the streets around aren't lit so bear this in mind."

We found it easy enough and parking is right outside the property which was convenient. It is very dark as it's the countryside but they have a light on the porch which was useful but sadly no light in the garden so my dog wouldn't really go in at night. It is a good size garden and pretty much enclosed my dog never escaped however it isn't connected directly to the door, not such a big deal but something to consider. The property was really clean and nicely furnished. However we arrived to no lights or heat on which wasn't ideal. However the heating soon got going and the log burner was a great addition. Personally i think due to the size this place is better suited to solo travellers as it is quite small. The bathroom is nice and i enjoyed a bath as it was such a lovely bath. Shower is hot and powerful. It was very peaceful here, so quiet, virtually no noise at all which I loved. Wi fi was great no issues. The owners lived next door and were there if needed which was great but also left us to it and gave us our privacy. The bedroom looks out onto part of a garden with a bird feeder and it was lovely to hear and see the birds each day from the bedroom window. They kindly left some scones and basic essentials which were useful including poo bags which came in handy. All in all I had a lovely stay here. There is a nice walk if you come out of the property take a right and your first left you can walk down a country lane with stunning views ( hardly any cars around) and to a little stream. This walk was great for the dog each morning before we went off exploring cornwall each day. I would recommend this property and would happily stay again, thank you to Julie and Andrew for being so lovely and accommodating during our stay. Me and the dog had a great holiday.

  • "Very nice cottage."

We spent 4 days and wanted for nothing. Perfect quiet location within easy driving to places to explore, walk our dog. A visit to Tintagel Castle is a must, buy a ticket for the island for a very interesting walk over the bridge to find out more about the history of the area.

  • "The cottage was lovely and clean, well furnished and exactly as described."

Its location allowed us to explore the north of Cornwall without feeling like we were driving all holiday, as you can get to almost everywhere in under an hour. The garden was beautifully maintained and furnished with chairs and a table which we loved to relax in after days out. On arrival scones, jam and clotted cream were left out- delicious! One thing to mention is that the garden is not fenced/hedged all the way around- there are two points where a dog could wander into the entrance of the property. This was not an issue for us but it is something I was not aware of before booking. Overall though we had an amazing time and I couldn’t recommend Primrose End enough!

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Fully enclosing the garden area is a project that we will be undertaking this winter, as other guests have also mentioned this to us too. Many thanks Property Owner

  • "Although the cottage was clean unfortunately the dishwasher was not clean on opening the door the inside panels by the side of the door was filthy."

Dinner plates (2) were dirty completely unwashed and greasy.l also the shelf the plates were on was dirty from the unwashed plates The inside detergent drawer of the washer was also filthy. Dirt spots on the area near the sink. Also chipped cup, bowls and plates. All reported by text to owner who offered to come and clean shelves and repaint the back of the sink (not needed as already cleaned shelf and washed plates). Owner said they would come and take away chipped pots but didn’t collect them. At a time of Covid this doesn’t look good. Also the cottage was quite expensive.

Thank you for your feed-back. Firstly I can only apologise that you didn't get the experience you wanted from Primrose End. We have taken on board your feedback and have totally repainted the wall where the three spots of stain were above the sink. We have also totally replaced the crockery set with the three chipped items. We will add to our already stringent COVID cleaning checklist, the checking of all individual crockery and weekly cleaning weekly of the washing machine drawer and sides of the dishwasher, although I would like to point out that these were all brand new a few weeks ago. With regards to collecting the 3 chipped items from the property, looking back on the texts between us it would seem we have had miscommunication as I believed that due to the COVID situation they would be left out for me once you had vacated at the end of your stay. Many thanks. Property Owner
