“Arrived on site to a very friendly welcome by two ladies who were happy to help get you a drink whilst waiting for our accommodation to be ready.”

The accommodation was very clean, comfortable and very well situated for privacy. we had all that we required and the facilities were all there to help us cook and it was a nice surprise to get towels and dressing gowns which helped. What was exceptional was that on Easter Sunday we were let down by a local off site pub which had us down for a different time than we had booked originally. We go. Yjt back to the site and asked the two ladies at the old mill restaurant whether they could fit us in , this was at 4.30pm and there was seven of us. They were really accommodating and asked the chef who was so nice and agreed to cook for us which we truly appreciated. They all went above and beyond their roles and we really did think that was so nice as we were not sure what we would have done. Not only did they do that they couldn't do enough for us, making sure we had everything required. Thank you to those at the restaurant that made us feel special and went all out to make our holiday

About the location

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
