    Mr Jakeman

“If you love steam trains this is for you!”

Met with a cream tea. The owners and railway staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly.

The cottage

Railway Cottage, as the name would suggest, lies right at the end of the platform of the enchanting narrow gauge steam railway in the heart of Launceston.

The railway is run by the owners of the cottage.

There is a lovely ambiance and traditional cottage style throughout the property, ideal for those who enjoy simplicity.

The galley-style kitchen offers a dual-aspect making the most of the natural light, with a lovely feature window and views out over the courtyard and steam railway.

The newly refurbished dining room with its window seat makes an ideal place to eat a tasty meal and get together after a day out exploring.

The lounge is cosy an ideal spot to relax in and in summer you can open the door to the patio.

The ground floor is complete with a family bathroom and a separate cloakroom in addition, for your convenience.

The king-size double has a wooden floor, bedside tables, a feature fireplace and views out over the railway track.
