  • "Advertised as double and twin room, however it has 2 double beds, not ideal for family with more than one child, advert needs updating."

Could also do with another wardrobe. Otherwise, no problems with house

No wardrobe in bedroom 2 but a hat stand which seemed bizzare

  • "Clean house."

Good standard. A printed information sheet would be handy. For example where the bins are, local shops, pubs, restaurants. Hand wash in the loos would be a good touch. Also a tea towel. Perhaps a pint of milk? Overall fine. Just the little touches to make it excellent.

  • "Stayed week of 18th may '19 Lovely little place with a split level enclosed garden that gets the afternoon sun."

I missed one or two home comforts like a full length mirror & my kitchen tongues for cooking but it didn't matter because it was so comfortable, spacious & light. A very good base for local amenities, town was just a short up hill walk so someone disabled or elderly might need use of their car. Places of interest ... Jamaica Inn.. Launceston castle..strawberry Fields in nearby Lifton.

  • "It was lovely and very easily accessible."

We will definitely be using again! A picture of the parking would have been useful to visualise. I felt we could have done with a few more towels as they were stated on the add that they would be supplied, lovely as they were I would have preferred two bath towels as opposed to one. Also there were no hand towels supplied for either bathroom nor tea towels for the kitchen. In addition there was no way of washing and drying plates adequately, there was washing up liquid but as I said earlier, no tea towels nor drying rack for plates. In addition there wasn’t much in the way of kitchen roll. Other than that the house was very clean and well supplied in all other areas for a two day stay. This house keeps the warmth well and the heating was on for us when we arrived. Overall I was very happy.

  • "The ease of access for visiting other parts of the county."

It was possible to walk into Launceston, but it was up a fairly steep hill on the way in. ( would suggest that this information is included in the cottage description if it is not already ) On our walk in, I was even passed by an elderly gentleman with a walking frame, but then he was probably local and did that walk most days. Minor items were noted and discussed with the owner, such as no bin in the bathroom or living room and no instructions for the cooker etc. These were due to be rectified by the owner once we had gone home. She was grateful for the feedback. One point that we mentioned to her was the lack of a visitors book. we have always found these to be very useful as previous visitors often leave tips for local facilities such as restaurants and shopping areas. she did put one in the cottage the day after we had mentioned it.. No complaints about the cottage ameneties, there was even a microwave which we did not expect as it was not mentioined in the cottage description. The location was perfect and we will likely visit again in the future.

  • "The house was ideally situated for us."

The directions to the property were excellent and also how to access it. The house was very neat and clean with good facilities. Parking space for 2 cars. The beds and sofa very comfortable. There was no welcome note, which would have been a nice touch. The downstairs toilet did not lock. A teapot would have been a nice addition. We all enjoyed our stay. Thank you

  • "I loved this property and would highly recommend."

It is situated at the bottom of a hill so if you struggle walking up hills, then maybe it's not for you. But you can easily get around if you travel by car. The town centre is halfway up the hill and Launceston Castle is only around 20 minutes walk away and definitely worth a visit. There's a Tesco up the road so you can get anything you need whilst staying. We used Launceston as a base and then travelled around Cornwall and this was a perfect base. The A30 was a couple minutes drive away and that was the main road to take you further into Cornwall. We will definitely come back and hopefully, depending on the dates available, be staying in this property again.
