    It was very clean and very well equipped with all that you would need for a self catering holiday. The finish and furnishings in the cottage were of a very high standard too. We had a lovely week staying at Cockleshell and would recommend it .

    We appreciate the weather became warmer but no means of turning the temperatures down. Locking windows in an open position would be good as anyone could have got into the property when windows were open at night, peace of mind when sleeping.

Castle Rock

A new development of thirteen houses that are located in a cliff top location within the village, having excellent veiws over Port Gaverne bay and across to Tintagel Castle.

Cockle Shell is a contemporary slate and stone, semi-detached holiday home, located in an elevated position at the top of Port Isaac in North Cornwall.

On the ground floor, a very well-equipped open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room leads out to a sea facing sunroom, located at the front of the property, providing ultimate relaxation – the sea views from these rooms are awe-inspiring and will leave you feeling instantly calm.

Also on this floor, towards the back of the property, there’s a cloakroom and a utility room. The first floor presents two large bedrooms and a shared family bathroom; the master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, en-suite shower room and balcony with exquisite coastal views – the perfect spot for your morning coffee – whilst adjacent to the master bedroom is a light and bright second room, with two single zip and link beds which can be made into one king-size bed on request, plus a single futon.

Outside, a paved seating area is the perfect space to dine alfresco – enjoy delicious lunches in this special sun trap with unsurpassed sea views.

There is also parking for two cars, plus additional parking on a first come first served basis, as well as gated storage for bikes and surfboards for your ease and convenience. Port Gaverne’s idyllic cove is just a five-minute downhill walk away and Port Isaac’s fishing harbour is just a 10-minute walk in the opposite direction.

Dotted along the town’s charming high street, you’ll find independent shops and eateries.

For a day out exploring, drive to famous Tintagel located 8.5 miles away, and whilst you’re there, visit Tintagel Castle to learn about the local history – the views are magnificent too. Cockle Shell is a fantastic holiday home for a family getaway, that’s enviably located in beautiful Port Isaac, Cornwall, perfect for those in search of a coastal cottage that accepts one pet and boasts breath-taking views.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
