Perfect position only a short walk to village and amenities Great to have a private parking space It might be a good idea to have a log book so people can write any problems they find

  • "Really enjoyed our week at Seapray."

Very homely, lots of space & comfortable. Had the bonus of the easy to reach car park with its own space (although didn’t have a sign to say which was Seasprays, but you could work it out! And if couldn’t, there was plenty of visitor spaces to use). Bed was comfortable, kitchen was a great size, living room was lovely & the towels were clean & didn’t smell. We had one problem with the en-suite shower drainage which was sorted within hours with just a quick trip to the John Bray office who sent out a maintenance person which was reassuring & helpful. Just a couple of things - there was only 1 half bottle of liquid soap between 4 sinks (it was in the kitchen). There was no soap provided in the 3 bathrooms which was a little odd & something we haven’t experienced with a Sykes Cottage before - soap would be a handy addition. The was no additional bin bags so we ended with recycling on the floor - a few bin bags left under the sink would be useful. 2 TV’s were listed, but only one was set up (living room) & the other was wrapped up in its cable in a cupboard (main bedroom - if it’s listed, you would expect it to be operational, not that this affected our holiday at all). Upon reading other reviews, the blind in the living was still not fixed & very awkward - the main bedroom blind was also odd! Lastly, the en-suite bathroom could use a little TLC (painting & cleaning shower door/seals). But worked fine. Overall, we had a fantastic stay, a great base for exploring Port Isaac & Cornwall, somewhere we looked forward to returning to, very relaxing week & we would stay again if we ever went back to Port Isaac. Thanks!

  • "Very pleasant property with plenty of room."

Minor issues: The only shower is in the en-suite bathroom which seems suboptimal for families. When we arrived the windows were not clean and obviously hadn’t been for some time. The front window blind is broken and couldn’t be closed at night. The kitchen is quite well equipped, with good furnishings all round. Considering check out is 9:30am and check in 4pm I think the cleaning should be more thorough. For families a 9:30am checkout is excessive and makes the last morning a rush. There was no hand soap at all, and no small welcome ie. teabags, coffee. This is not essential but is often provided in such properties. Excellent parking and location. There are restricted views in the property itself, but it’s only a short walk from the coastal path and to either Gaverne or Isaac.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. We understand the issue with the check in/out times. However, this is required so our cleaners have sufficient time to do the cleans to the standard we expect. Also, our properties are a self catering nature so we do not offer start provisions as standard and it is down to respective owners if they wish to do so. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. The windows needed cleaning too. All in all it was nice.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback from your stay. Thank you for also letting us know about the lounge blind, we shall advise our team to look at this. We're sorry the windows were not clean and that this was not picked up on changeover but pleased that you otherwise had an enjoyable stay. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "On arrival the en-suite toilet button was broken and obviously not reported by previous tenant, there was no button and you had to remove the cistern lid to flush."

We couldn't use this toilet but fortunately could use bathroom toilet upstairs. This was reported to the John Bray office. Parking space for No 3 does not have a sign and is the only one not named or numbered at Castle Rock. Maybe a few more hangers in the wardrobes would be useful. Instructions for underfloor heating would be good if available. Other than that a very nice property at Castle Rock and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will definitely return.

Totally unimpressed with the Sykes side of the business. Your central call centre is just a waste of time. Revert to being able to speak with the super John Brsy people who care. With Sykes you are just a number .

  • "Excellent accommodation, the only criticism I have was the parking, there was no signage as to where the parking bay was for number 3 and on two occasions another car was parked there, number 2 and number 6 have signs and you can work it out from there where the parking bay for number 3 is but if cars are already parked in 2 or 6 you cannot see the signs."
