  • "From the moment we arrived at Stowaway we knew we’d be booking for next year!"

It really is a perfect location with fantastic views and has every amenity you could ask for. Fully equipped kitchen, washer/drier, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, all utensils. Spacious living room with 2 settee, dining table, freeview TV and a large balcony with table and chairs looking out onto Port Isaac. Bedrooms are fantastic, spacious, lots of wardrobe/ drawers. The only very slight note was the very creaky bed but that really isn’t a complaint! Bathroom is perfect, large bath, wet room shower, again plenty of space. Parking space is directly outside and there’s an outside tap for washing down wetsuits and a shed for storage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and booked up immediately for next year.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay at Stowaway and had the perfect base to explore the north Cornish coastline from! Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic week at Stowaway, excellent location with parking which counts for a lot in Port Isaac."

Extremely well equipped property with sea views. The apartment was very clean & nicely decorated with lots of seaside touches. Lovely, sunny terrace, (the scaffolding couldn't be helped!) The bed was comfortable, shame that linen is not provided. Would happily recommend to anyone & hope to return!

Thank you for this wonderful feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed the property so much, as well as Port Isaac! Property Owner

My only comments to make things even better would be provision of linens and a spare loo roll would have been nice Would definitely recommend

  • "The property was fantastic, very well equipped and maintained."

Thanks! The location was perfect and my wife wants me to buy the place!! Joking apart, it's one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we've experienced with the perfect location. The parking was great being adjacent to the property. The short walk into Port Issac was ideal.

The property

Tucked away in the heart of Port Isaac, close to the old harbour, Stowaway is a spacious ground-floor apartment with private parking for two cars.

With a double bedroom, and single room with pull-out hideaway, Stowaway is ideal for a small family with young children or for a couple seeking a romantic getaway on the Cornish coast.

The open-plan kitchen, living and dining area benefits from lots of natural light from the large windows and doors that open on to a stone patio area – a beautiful spot to sit and admire the sweeping views.

The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances and lots of worktop space for preparing and cooking meals, and after dinner you can retire to the cosy sitting area with a glass of wine and light the woodburning stove.

The double bedroom is spacious and has a beautiful wrought iron bedstead, whilst the bathroom boasts a separate bath and shower.

Port Isaac is an idyllic fishing village dating back hundreds of years, and fishermen still work from the Platt, setting out in the morning and returning with their daily catch.

Lovers of seafood can buy this fresh to cook in your self-catering cottage, or dine out in one of the fabulous restaurants, including Michelin starred chef, Nathan Outlaw’s two establishments.

There are some amazing beaches to visit in North Cornwall: Polzeath and Newquay both have miles of sand and are two of the best surfing spots in the UK, whilst Trebarwith Strand has a long stretch of sand that extends to about a mile at low tide.

Enjoy a relaxing and romantic break on the Cornish coast at Stowaway.

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
