• "An absolutely great accommodation to stay in ,it ticked all boxes for location, comfort, cleanliness and facilities."

  Thats before the panoramic views of Carbis Bay and beyond. If we found any negatives there was only one, the second bedroom was very dark even with the bedside lights on also. A bigger brighter ceiling light needed we thought. All being we would not hesitate to visit again .

• "We had a brilliant stay and it’s a fabulous view across Carbis Bat but this is the second apartment where the twin beds are just too small for two teenagers or two adults and one of the twin beds kept moving and we couldn’t find a mechanism to stop the wheels."

  In other properties we’ve stayed in they have always provided kitchen stables like cling film , foil, kitchen roll so this would be our suggestion.

• "Just a minor observation."

  My husband found the sofa a little uncomfortable and we think it needs some scatter cushions for back support. That being said, it is finished to a very high standard and we always enjoy staying at Glas Mor. We would highly recommend this property.

  Only one extremely minor negative and that is the dining table and chairs could be a little better/larger to make dining in a little more comfortable. Would not hesitate to book this apartment again in the future.

• "Amazing location, a few minutes walk downhill to the beach."

  Stunning views over Carbis Bay and St Ives. Comfy bed and sofas, with everything you need for your stay. Couldn't fault anything. We used our paddle boards on the beach, and explored the surrounding areas. It’s definitely worth a walk over to Porthminster beach which takes about 25 mins, and St Ives 10 mins further. Will definitely be back!

• "This is a wonderful apartment but it was let down by a few things."

  Whilst some of them are fairly minor, for a property of this price they are things that you would expect to be better. We stayed in an alternative apartment in the complex previously which we felt was better. It was disappointing to find on arrival that there was no tumble drier despite one being listed. If we had been informed in advance we would have packed differently. For a winter / early spring break we had planned a lot of outdoor activity and therefore had planned to wash and dry regularly. Both beds were very soft (leading to backache) and the fact the bed in the main bedroom could have been king size, and indeed if it had been, it would have suited the vast room better. Another odd thing, and again I understand there is a personal preference to this, was the textured bedding. Personally we did not like this and it seems that simple plain bedding would be more acceptable to all guests. The sofa in the living area was great for the views but again (like the beds) was far too soft and therefore was quite uncomfortable. Finally, the toilet in the shower room is not very secure. When you sit down, it moves considerably (and I am not that heavy). As I said above, it is a lovely apartment and we had a great time. But a few minor improvements could go a long way.

I am very sorry that you were not aware of the change to the washer drier, I understand that this was a last-minute replacement. The owner has confirmed that the bed in the main bedroom is a king-size bed. With regards to the softness of the beds and their textured covers, as you say, these are both a matter of personal preference. I am also pleased to advise that the owner of Glas Mor has informed us that a new sofa is on order for the property and should be delivered very soon. • "The property is comfortable, spacious, warm and with a second-to-none view of the whole of St Ives Bay and St Ives wharf and harbour in the distance."

  The view from the large double glazed windows in both living room and main bedroom, and outside from the wide balcony, is truly magnificent. Being on the third floor with no properties interrupting the view, the privacy inside is total. This is an exceptionally clean and well equipped property affording a pleasure to be inside and just outside within the beautiful and quiet surroundings of Carbis Bay and the ten minutes stroll down to the sandy Carbis Bay beach.

• "Glad Mor is breathtaking Glas Mor is breathtaking."

  Fabulous views through the floor to ceiling windows from both the open plan lounge and master bedroom. We were blessed with the sound of the crashing waves 24 hours a day. The apartment is very spacious and feels luxurious. All the furniture is if a very high standard. We relaxed so much. We loved the access to the coastal path down to the beautiful carbis bay beach. The walk to st Ives is breathtaking, however the train journey at £1 each way is perfect. We absolutely loved Glas Mor and have booked again

• "Amazing views, well equipped, clean and comfortable."

  Peaceful location within half a mile of a good tapas restaurant and a few other options and so much quieter than St Ives which is a 2.2 mile coastal path walk from the apartment. There are world class views on the walk to Lelant.

• "We had an amazing time, Glas Mor is stunning."

  Walking through the door was a thrill every time we returned "home". Sleeping with the blinds (and doors some nights) open and seeing the sunrise was a thrill and the stars at night were unbelievable (big dipper bright and closer than I've ever seen it). The bar has been set very high for our next holiday that's for sure. Clean, luxurious, well built (didn't hear any neighbours really), lift to our door making unpacking/re-loading car easy, generous dedicated parking space. Carbis bay is lovely with clear sea, beach wasn't too packed and nearby (20 min coastal walk) was a near-deserted one. Train to St Ives and Penzance is easy and cheap. The weather helps a lot but it really doesn't get much better. Be prepared to get fit walking the hill down to the beach though it's not far but it is steep! Only feedback and it's very minor and it's purely to help the owners (who we met as they live on site and are lovely) - more cutlery would really help from meal to meal without having to wash-up until later and there was a break in one of the balcony chairs but it's still usable. Thank you so much. This was a holiday that will live in the memory and will be hard to beat.

• "We really enjoyed our holiday and the beautiful views from the balcony."

  The apartment was well appointed and in a very convenient location for the train station and beach, we were able to leave the car at home for most of the week. There was an issue with the washing machine whilst we were there, but it was dealt with very swiftly (the same day we reported it), at no inconvenience to us. We'd stay again!

• "Second consecutive year staying at Glas Mor."

  Lovely quiet spacious apartment, location and views. Housekeeping standard not as good this year and sofa becoming grubby and well used. Shocked to see that booking the same week next year would be £3050 - over double the price we paid this year! Have booked apartments with Carbis Bay Holidays each year since 2017 but will not be booking again with Sykes at such an inflated price.

There has been a huge demand for stay-cations this year and for 2022, which has increased prices in line with other letting agencies throughout the country. Prices also vary in line with the way school holiday weeks fall, and are also subject to annual price reviews. • "Fairly dusty under the bed, on skirting etc."

  The toilet in the main bathroom seemed loose and we had to report an issue with the fridge shelves. We have booked with Carbis Bay Holidays on many occasions and like the fact that it was run locally however we have concerns that it will lose that personal touch now it is part of Sykes.

  The long balcony is accessible from both double bedroom and lounge. Two decent sized double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes and flat screen televisions with perfect reception. Very comfortable beds. Nice big private gated carpark with designated parking spaces. The apartment is reached via stairway or lift. On a separate note, the lift was not working properly from midweek onwards. Although inconvenient, it did not spoil our enjoyment."
