“We found the site was closing down except for the pool and spa, although that was out of bounds between 3pm and 5.”

30pm each day. The food in the bar was revolting and we only had one meal in there. This restaurant/bar/ closed completely for 3 days mid week. The grounds were stunning and the views brilliant. In the static caravan there were no instructions for the cooker and dishwasher and we spent too much time trying to work these out and the accommodation was full of cobwebs. ...

In the static caravan there were no instructions for the cooker and dishwasher and we spent too much time trying to work these out and the accommodation was full of cobwebs. On the plus sign there was soap and toilet rolls and a grotty teatowel. Cornwall is fabulous and it would not stop us going there but not to Treogard Park.

Tregoad Lodges

A group of five lovely lodges situated on the family run holiday park of Tregoad Park, 1.4 miles from the seaside town of Looe in Cornwall. The holiday park boasts rolling views of the countryside and coast and is set in 55 acres of grounds. These five welcoming lodges are ideal for couples, families and friends with three of the lodges sleeping four and two sleep six. Each lodge has an open plan living area with modern furnishings and a wall mounted TV, along with double and twin beds and either a separate bathroom or shower room. From the living area, patio doors lead to a private veranda, from where you may wish to relax with a cold drink whilst taking in the pleasant surroundings and distant sea views. The park has a number of facilities for all ages, including a heated indoor swimming pool and hot tub, wildlife walks to lakes, outdoor play ground and crazy gold. There’s also an on-site seasonal pub called The Tavern (open between Easter and the end of October), which serves breakfast and evening meals, with seasonal cinema and games room. The on-site shop has fresh dairy produce, a variety of camping equipment and children's toys. Just a five minute drive away is Looe with its shops, bars and restaurants and you may wish to enjoy a fishing trip from the harbour. The Eden Project and The Lost Garden of Heligan are a short drive away and Milldreath Beach is within reach. These superb lodges make an excellent base for touring Cornwall.

A wonderful single-storey holiday home on a superb holiday park near Looe.

With three bedrooms, consisting of a double and two twins, this lodge is a great base for a family.

An open plan living area with patio doors onto the veranda makes a comfortable place to relax after a day out and about exploring the area, and completing the accommodation is a shower room.

Stunning views of the coast and countryside can be seen from this charming lodge, and all members of your party will love the facilities on the holiday park, ranging from an indoor swimming pool to a fishing lake and not forgetting your four-legged friend a dog walking area is available.

About the location

LOOE

Liskeard 9 miles.

Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. You can also catch the river taxi between East and West Looe. East Looe has narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleyways and plenty of tourist shops, whilst West Looe has a lovely outlook across the harbour. Looe’s viewpoint, Banjo Pier, can be reached from the quay and is a great spot to watch the returning fishing trawlers and look across the bay to Looe Island, which can be walked to occasionally at very low tides. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. There is also a great rock pool area at Hannafore that children will love. West Looe has a Heritage Centre that recently opened in the Old Sardine Factory with a climbing wall and a cafe and the delightful Kilminorth Woods have way marked walks through the majestic oak wood, rich in plant, insect and bird life. Apart from beach activities in this part of south east Cornwall, there are many mining remains on Bodmin Moor and in the Tamar Valley and much of the mining landscape has World Heritage status. This area of Cornwall has inspired writers, such as Daphne du Maurier and much of Bodmin Moor has inspired legends linked with King Arthur. There is much to explore in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
