Set in the owners grounds, within an area of outstanding natural beauty. There is nothing negative to say about this beautiful cottage. The cottage is spotlessly clean, warm, cozy and very well equipped. We received a very warm welcome from Karin as well as a delicious welcome pack which included a cream tea with jam & clotted cream. The cottage has been very well planned and the owners have thought of every possible comfort. The bed is extremely comfortable, and, in combination with the peaceful setting, it enables a good nights sleep. The location is perfect for exploring the Tin coast including Geevor, Levant & Botallack mines. Lands End & Penzance are both only a few miles away. St Agnes is only about 2.5 miles and the Fish & Chip shop there has the best Cod we have ever tasted, especially when eaten overlooking Cape Cornwall, only a few minutes drive from St Agnes. Our week in Garden cottage was most enjoyable and relaxing. We absolutely love it and hope to return in the not too distant future.

The Cottage is small but very comfortable and perfect for 2 + dog! Lovely walk straight from the garden gate.. Two things worth mentioning for dog owners is that the garden is fabulous but not enclosed so we had to tie Harry up or he would have been off to visit the neighbours! The little courtyard is enclosed but no fun for a dog! In season (May to September incl’) all the easy to get to (ie no steep climbs!) sandy beaches in the vicinity don’t allow dogs between 8am and 7pm - so we drove to Porthkidney Beach at Lelant near St Ives which is fab for dog walking and the beautiful Perranporth Beach which was wonderful to spend the day on and obviously dog friendly!

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
