Also great for visiting surrounding areas - Penzance, St Ives, Portreath, Lands End. Very nice lady looking after the property and left a few things in the property which is just what you need when you get there (milk, scones, cream etc).

Great position as is only 20 mins from Lands End and St Ives, only 10 mins from penzance and St Michael's Mount and Mousehole. 2 mins from Geevor tin mine and there's a good cliff top walk from the cottage to Pendeen lighthouse and Potheras beach.

  • "We had a lovely time at Miners Rest, the cottage is very well equipped."

We arrived to a very well received welcome pack with milk, biscuits and a cream tea complete with clotted cream. The owner, Abi, had also left a vase of freshly cut flowers. Abi kept in touch with us throughout our stay and we knew she was there if we needed anything. We visited some beautiful beaches nearby and visited some tourist attractions. All in all we had a very relaxing stay and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. We highly recommend Miners Rest.

We felt very welcome by the owners and had constant support via mobile telephone should we feel the need to be in touch. The accommodation was cosy and very comfortable, extremely well equipped and we loved the decor, it was home from home with a better view! That area of Cornwall is beautiful with the most amazing coastline walks and there are good places to eat quite close by. It was a lovely break for us both.

The coast path is a 5 minute walk away and there is a small beach 25 minutes walk down the path. Really comfortable cottage, and had everything we could wish for. The owners were lovely and made every effort for us during our stay. Couldn't recommend it enough. We will definitely be back. Perfect place for a couple and a dog no matter the weather. Great pubs nearby (North Inn and Queens Arms) and lovely walks.

What a gem of a cottage. Have never stayed anywhere that has been so well equipped. Loved having the complimentary cream tea sat on the first floor balcony. Lovely owners. Abi so helpful with my queries. Perfect location for walking & attractions. Loved the close proximity of Boat & Portheras coves, lovely secluded beaches.

  • "Despite the changeable weather, Miner's Rest was warm, cosy and comfortable, as well as being very well equipped and beautifully decorated."

It is ideally placed on the North coast for accessing the rugged and atmospheric coast path, to wonderful Portherus cove in one direction and spectacular Bottalack the other. We also had a fascinating day at Geevor tin mine, which I would really recommend for a tour; friendly and knowledgeable staff and guides, a walk underground and a great cafe! At the same time, you are near to so many other lovely towns and villages, such as St Ives, Penzance and Marazion. Something to do in all moods and weathers.

We couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Only downside is the lack of garden space for our dog to enjoy. The property details when we booked showed a garden looking from a window in the property with a view straight out to sea, however there are no sea views from the property save a small side window, only visible if you lean out some ways. The property is attached to another which on checking it’s website details shows the garden view that Miners Rest originally showed. My husband and I cannot recommend this property too highly if you want a relaxing time with a feel of home from home go to Miners Rest you’ll feel so welcome.

Everything you need for a self catering holiday is in the cottage. We had an issue with the wifi but Abi sorted this very quickly. The fresh flowers, milk, tea & coffee a nice touch. Parking was good. Directions to the cottage were easy. Keysafe easy. You have a key in the Keysafe and a spare key. The village has a well stocked cost cutter. There are 2 pubs in the village and a great cafe/tapas place called MARIA CHICA. Well worth a visit. They have a cafe also in Penzance. There is a bus to St Just and Penzance at the end of the lane. The south west coastal path is on the doorstep with fantastic views out to the Atlantic. The lighthouse is worth a visit as is the nearby cove. The Geevor Mine is at the end of the lane and well worth a visit. We definitely recommend this cottage and hope to be back. Hopefully storm Gareth and other such names will not be with us.

Easy access to the North Coast Mines and Coastal Path for excellent walks with breath taking views. We were given a very warm welcome by Abi & Adam who also put a lot of thought into making the cottage a home from home. The nice treats, Chocolates & Cream Tea, were especially welcomed. The Ale & Meals at the North Inn were good in both quality and value. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Pendeen and highly recommend Miners Cottage as an ideal base to explore from. What a kind and thoughtful thing to do. The day after we arrived she called in to see if we had any problems then, and we said- it is all wonderful- but would you have an adaptor for our electric toothbrush and shaver ? She immediately went off and found one- what service-and such a warm welcome. The house was beautifully `dressed` with local paintings and pottery and the décor and presentation was the best that we have ever found in decades of holiday renting. A lovely cosy warm cottage and we watched storm `Callum` from our sitting room window , in awe. The huge television was the icing on the cake- our own is tiny , by comparison! We know Cornwall quite well, but this area had us absolutely fascinated with it`s history and ruggedness and friendliness. The Miners Rest is , simply, a gem so thankyou.
