The property

Nestled in the White Acres Holiday Park, in the heart of 184 acres of Cornish countryside, surrounded by 13 fishing lakes is this delightful - lodge.

Brand new for 2019, Dowr Lodge rests alongside a large lake, perfect for those interested in fishing, walking and relaxing.

Entering the property, you will be greeted by a spacious open-plan living space, with two large sofas to sink into of an evening, where you can open the patio doors onto the decking and soak up the beauty and tranquillity of the location, If the weather isn’t that great you can watch TV (with integrated DVD player) or listen to the DAB Bluetooth music system.

The amply-equipped kitchen houses a range of appliances so you can rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal, whilst the dining area offers a space to enjoy your meals or plan the day's events.

Down the hall are two brightly-decorated bedrooms, a kingsize and twin (all three beds have pocket sprung mattresses), housing a selection of quality furniture to store your personal items.

The master bedroom benefits from a lovely en-suite shower room.

A decking area wraps around the lodge, with a table and chairs allowing you to make the most of the view down the lake.

The perfect place to enjoy a refreshing cup of tea in the morning and watch the sunrise across the lake.

This area can be accessed via patio doors from the lounge.

Let's not forget the fabulous on-site facilities such as the indoor heated swimming pool, spa bath, sauna and newly refurbished gym, indoor soft children’s soft play area and a children's adventure playground, so you don't have to travel far for a spot of luxury during your holiday.

There are 13 course fishing lakes situated within the park offering activities for everyone from beginners through to fishing enthusiasts.

The team at the Tackle Shop (which is 2 mins walk from the Lodge) will be more than happy to help you out.

Passes are required to fish on the lakes – day or weekly passes are available to purchase from the Tackle Shop.

Discover a plethora of attractions, all within easy reach of the holiday park, including the thriving seaside town of Newquay, which boasts a choice of large sandy beaches to spend the day with your little ones, with opportunities to learn Cornwall's favourite past time of surfing.

Visit the family-friendly attraction of Flambards Theme Park, where you can indulge in an array of exciting rides and indoor facilities that will suit the whole family.

The Screech Owl Sanctuary is only 4 miles away at Goss Moor and allows everyone to get close up to these beautiful birds.

Newquay Zoo is another excellent choice, as it houses over 1,000 animals, 130 different species and is set in 130 acres of sub-tropical gardens, perfect for those interested in some scenic walking and wildlife spotting.

The spectacular attractions of the Eden Project, Blue Reef Aquarium, Pirate's Quest and Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm are all within easy reach.

For avid walkers, the South West Coast Path passes in both directions along a stunning coastline of high cliffs, hidden coves and yet more beaches. The quaint harbour and fishing village of Padstow is just 14 miles away, while Truro, with its museums, cathedral, restaurants and cobbled streets, as well as the Eden Project, can be reached within 30 minutes. Picturesque St Ives and the Tate St Ives gallery is under an hour's drive or a train ride away. In fact, because nothing in Cornwall is far from Newquay, it’s the perfect touring base.
