• "Lin communicated really well via email and provided all the necessary details."

  I mentioned it was my wife’s birthday and on arrival we were met with a card, birthday banners, flowers and a bottle of fizz. Lin introduced herself and showed us around the apartment explaining how to use electronic blinds, bi-fold doors and cooker hood. The sofas and bed were super comfy, lots of space for clothes in the bedroom. The view is spot on and the parking space is near the door so it’s easy to move your cases to the apartment as it’s on the ground floor. We had a fantastic stay and would suggest the following, the bedroom could do with blackout blinds as the bedroom gets light very early, ideally a Smart TV as the TV was freeview only so no Netflix, Prime Video etc.., the apartment has a wonderful sized patio but no permanent table and chairs to sit on although the apartment pictures did show a rattan table & chairs. There were lightweight fold up chairs/table available which needed to be packed away after each use, it would be lovely to eat outside and watch the sunset but it’s not ideal on foldaway furniture.

  The information from the host was great and they were there if we needed anything and were very friendly Would definitely recommend this property for its great location for visiting Cornwall, it’s a short walk into Newquay which has a great range of bars, restaurants and shops but far enough out not to be disturbed We had a great holiday and will definitely becoming back

• "We have visited this property multiple times and it never disappoints!"

  The apartment itself is very spacious, bright and clean and the views never get old. It has everything you could hope for a relaxing and stress free get away. Lin is always amazing! Lin is very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble to help improve your stay and it's a pleasure to see her each time we stay. Would highly recommend and we will be coming again next year also.

• "Apartment is light and airy, great fixtures and fittings."

  Only downside was the patio furniture was not as advertised. On the picture it was wicker furniture with cushions which looked really comfortable for the 4 of us to eat lunch on. Unfortunately it was folding tables and chairs which we had to bring in each evening and put in a bag. Other than that we would definitely recommend the apartment to others.

  Beautiful apartment in a great location 5 mins walk to town the apartment has everything you need we were met by Lin who was very friendly and was only next door so there if you needed anything ,the view off the sea was lovely and the sunset at night was amazing only fault was in the bedroom i really think a blackout blind is needed as when the sun comes up its very bright also you have the light from the car park at night but we had a wonderful stay in this amazing apartment and just love Cornwall highly recommended Andrea & Austin thank you xx

• "We had a great stay and the apartment was very well appointed with plenty of crockery, utensils etc."

  The settees were very comfy as were the beds. The only minor criticism was the blinds - we are used to sleeping in quite dark rooms so these let in a bit more light than we would have liked. It is a minor point and would not stop us returning. The location was great and with Lin and Lance on hand next door, we really could not have asked for much more.

  The tea, biscuits and processo were also a really nice welcome touch. Lin was very welcoming and made our stay exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and she was very friendly and accommodating with any needs we had. Would highly recommend to anyone and will certainty be coming back again later this year or same time next year!

• "We stayed here in October half term 2021 and we absolutely loved it."

  Lin was amazing & so helpful, lovely to talk to & messaged back straight away with any enquiries we had. Apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, the view was lovely looking out to the sea, the beach is just a few mins walk away so that was perfect. Shops & newquay town is a 5/10 min walk away too & a nice walk there. Was lovely turning up to a bottle of proseco too (nice touch)

• "We loved the position of the apartment, so close to Lusty Glaze and Porth beaches."

  Great Western and Towan beaches were also within walking distance. The apartment was extremely well presented and had all the facilities one could wish for. Lin gave us a very warm welcome - the fizz and biscuits were a nice touch. The only negative was that the blinds in the bedrooms do not exclude light and our bedrooms faced the car park which was brightly lit all night. you could wake up at 3.00 am and think it was morning! Some form of blackout would be the final touch in a wonderfully specced apartment.

• "The bed was far too hard for my liking, also there was no proper blackout blind for bedroom window, which meant the room was very light as soon as the sun rises, not good if you want a lie in, which you would not on a bed that hard, There was only one parking space, and with two double rooms it is quite likely four people will have two cars, and one will have to find roadside parking, if possible?"

  this should be stated. Other than that a very pleasant place to stay, with fantastic views across Newquay, and coastline.

• "The apartment was very clean, spacious, modern and had all the amenities we needed for a weeks holiday."

  The location was fab, walking distance of Porth and Lusty Glaze beaches and the town centre. Amazing views especially of the sunset. We contacted Sykes prior to check in to advise that we were using the apartment as a base for our wedding and on arrival there was a card, balloons and Prosecco waiting for us…lovely personal touch. Thanks Sykes cottages and thanks to Lin for a fab stay!

• "Great accommodation, however the listing on the Sykes website could have been more comprehensive regarding facilities."

  For example, no washing machine was listed, so we had to ask Lin, the lovely housekeeper if one was available (it was). We also felt it would have been good to have access to either a DVD player or basic catch-up tv (those available on free view) as we had a couple of evenings where the weather wasn’t good and it would have been nice to have been able to watch a movie. Had we known neither would be available, we could have brought our own. It would also have been useful to know from the listing that there is only one parking space available at the flat. Again, the lovely Lin filled us in, but only because I had asked. These are just small niggles that could easily be remedied with small additions to the listing on the website. But otherwise this was a great apartment. Fantastic location, beautiful view. Very comfortable and well equipped. Lin was super and very welcoming. We enjoyed it very much and would recommend it to others.

• "Ideal spot for a relaxed holiday at the quiet end of the town good coastal walks &several lovely beaches."

  The sheltered Porth Beach is an easy 10 minutes stroll away. Nice terrace with views of the sea. Good little shopping centre close by with an excellent Bakery shop.

  Many home from home with all of the extras eg coffee machine, plenty of loo roll, bin bags and dishwasher tablets etc. There was some maintenance work going on which Sykes kindly informed me about and were then extremely helpful in rearranging my accommodation to this lovely apartment.
